seems to be new primals for wrath but with an element of essences from enchanting in that it can be switched from eternal (primal) form to crystalized (mote) form.

Eternals or Crystalized items are used in all crafting proffesions besides inscription (according to wowhead). Some inscription recipes later might have it. It is known to be used in Enchanting, Blacksmithing, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, tailoring and maybe leatherworking (although eternal/crystalized earth's aren't)

A good place i found was in Sholazar Basin to the far left along the coast. There are quite alot of elementals up their such as Water Elementals, Earth Elementals and Air Elementals. The fire Elementals are either at Borean or at Storm Peaks. Anyways the drop rate on the airs is not too bad at Sholazar Basin.

The "Created by" tab shows that it requires 9 Crystallized Earth to create an Eternal Earth, however the way Blizzards spell works is a little misleading.

You "Use" one of the Crystallized Earth's which casts a spell that requires another 9 to create an Eternal. It requires 10 in total.

Formany farmers it might be messy to compromise all your "crystalized ***" to not soak up the bag space.
I thoguht this could be easy solved. Here is a very simple but useful macro for compromising you crystals to eternals:

In 3.3.3, a Gnome named "Frozo the Renowned" Will come to dalaran on his flying carpet, Camping himself at Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange, selling Eternal earths along with the other eternals for a Frozen orb each.

I realize that Sholazar Basin is mentioned briefly above however, I have elaborated on it in more detail to share for those lvl 80 - 85 wanting to farm for crystallized earth that can be transformed into elemental earth at a ratio of 10:1. That is 10 crystallized forms will make 1 elemental form of any type earth, air, water, etc. You can try it at a lvl lower than 80 if you want to. I just feel it will be easier once you have reached at least lvl 80.

Sholazar Basin, specifically the coastline directly behind The Maker's Perch & that surrounding area, I have found to be over flowing with Stormwatcher, Aqueous Spirit, & Storm Revenant elementals. Respectively, they drop crystallized earth, crystallized water, & crystallized air, and when they do they drop most often 2 at a time. Since I did not have the time to spend on gathering exact stats for the drop rates and such I can only say that they drop often, very, very often and are well worth the time and effort you would put into farming there. They re-spawn very quickly. Everytime I thought I cleared the entire area, I turned around and there were more. I never ran out. It was awesome!

Now, I am off to find a similar place (if there is one) to farm life and shadow in their crystallized form. If and when I find such a place, I will be sure to pass it on. The AH rate for these in their elemental form on my server is ridiculous! For one Earth Elemental, JUST ONE, they wanted 38G! And the thing was, there was only one for sale, so whatcha gonna do? I just can't bring myself to spend it. However, I have my enchanting profession skill up to 405 and I'm at the point where I need these in quantity to get it higher.

So, A Farming I will go, A Farming I will go, Hi Ho the WOW-I-O, A Farming I will go. LOL! Happy Gathering! :-)

This is such a bottleneck when leveling Jewelcrafting. I need approximately 45 eternal earth to get to the next part of JCing. They go for about 80g a piece on my server, though you can buy frozen orbs and trade them for eternal earth for about 25g a piece. Still, what a pain.

Tips for Northrend elemental farming:

If your faction controls Wintergrasp, the elementals located in Wintergrasp have high drop rates for elementals. Revenants have a 100% chance to drop elementals with the lesser ones having about a 25% drop chance.
Frozen Orbs can be traded for any eternal (as well as for some other goods) in Dalaran from Frozo the Renowned.
Frozen Orbs can be obtained from heroic WoTLK instances (1 per completed dungeon), bought from the Auction House, or purchased with cataclysm currency Justice Points (110 per orb).
If your character has Mining as a profession, make sure to mine the elemental corpses for extra loot.
Justice Points are easiliy obtainable from running regular dungeons or by converting Honor Points.

My favorite method for farming these is using the frozen orb method. I run regular dungeons and then buy Frozen Orbs with the Justice Points.

If you are here in mid-2012 then you should know the launch of Mists of Pandaria is slated for Sept. 25 2012. As you may, or may not know, the jewelcrafting profession will be a very popular profession due to the new mounts of every different gem color and the penultimate onyx flying mount.

Why does this pertain to you and Eternal Earth? Because JCs who are leveling, and want to do so efficiently (i.e. by using a guide), they will either need x25 Eternal Earth AND x25 Eternal Shadow OR x50 Eternal Earth.

I have been selling my Earths for no less than 25g as of a few weeks ago and my shadows no less than 20g. As always, server AHs will vary. However, it is in your best interest now to start looking for these at low prices and/or sitting on the ones you own (unless they spike really high).
