I think what he means is that the attributes associated with the staff are kind of weak for a hunter. Sure, stamina and nature resist helps, and the critical strike bonus does too, but putting intellect on it makes it less desireable. Now we all know hunters need mana too, but when they see drops such ans Barb of the Sandworm which is straight up agility and stamina, things like this look weak. Most hunters will take an increase in ranged attack power over a little intellect, and you can enchant the poearm to get more intellect than this staff provides.

As far as being useful for a druid, thats kind of skewed. No druid would take a staff that has no healing bonus, mana regen, spirit, and such low intellect for a 2h. there are way better 2h and 1h weapons for druids that you can get earlier in the game than this staff. Example would be Zulian scepter of rights + offhand armor, or Will of Arlok.

hunters need mana to do their spells and i usually run oom at inst which significantly decreases my dps for a while till i get enough mana and continue

About this weapon, Most people are talking about the looks. Yes, I think its acward to see hunters use staves, cause ive been watching to many movies, But its not about the looks, its about stats.. REMEMBER THAT

Whoever thought this was a druid weapon needs to go to a 3 story building and jump out the window. The staff is from a hunter-only quest from a leaf, that drops off Domo in Molten Core. The quest of the Ancient Petrified Leaf starts 3 chains, 1 for a quiver, 1 for a bow, and of course 1 for this staff. Ok, just so the retarded noob druid that apperently thought this was a druid weapon. Thought I'd also include some helpful info. (what most posts didn't have) For the bow it's a real pain in the ass if you don't have a big mana pool because you have to kite 4 demons around in 4 totally different areas of the world. One in winterspring, one in burning steppes, one in un' goro crater, the last in silithus. You probably want a few friends to come and help clear the areas and give you a few buffs aswell. Buy a few shadow pots and you should be ready to go if you're a skilled kiter. but NOTE: Hunters still debate if the PvP ranged weapons may be better, the choice is for you though. Don't forget about Careful Aim Talent which increases attack power by a percentage of total intellect.

Well, if you wanted this to be a killer staff for your hunter, Just slap a + Agility Enchant on it and your set :)

There's none.. except that this item was Deprecated - hence the DEP when Hunters were allowed to get both weapons from their quest.
