Forgot glyphs on your Level 80 Prot build. ;)
Otherwise, I like (EDIT: I LOVE, and thank you much for!), and emphasize your own words:
There are by no means the only possible specs, and for many, they may not even be the best.
While there are many fewer ways to do your build "wrong" -- you really can't miss if you just chose random talents -- there are certainly a lot more ways to do it "YOUR" way. For Prot, I'd not pick up Reckoning, and instead spend it maybe in increased range on Judgements, or even reduced cooldown on HoJ -- which would make no sense for the ICC25H raider, but for running Heroics it makes my life much easier.
I think it's going to be much more fun to discuss talent trees, and with that, playstyles, as opposed to the "LOL WHYD U GET TAHT UR DOIN IT WORGN SCURB" crap that many players have fallen into doing.

Wowhead does not seem to like paladin 4.0 glyphs right at the moment. I'm not sure it can be done.

Glyphs have been added. They're more picked intuitively rather than with any hard number-crunching. Time will tell which % increases end up being better.
Tentative pvp spec. I have yet to actually try any pvp.

heres a prot pvp
Glyphs are meh but i dont care for many of the major ones
I'd still suggest picking up Protector of the Innocent in the Holy tree for the extra survivability, as I'd foresee using HP on Word of Glory a lot more in PvP to stay alive, more than to nuke targets.
Otherwise, I like. Just hope Prot stays pretty viable as a PvP build.

Wasted is such a harsh word.
These are by no means the only possible specs, and for many, they may not even be the best.
Yes, support talents are optional.

Didn't mean to come off as rude, but in my opinion it's wasted to pick up support talents before great dps talents.
There is certainly room for support talents at 85, but at 80 you still have dps talents to get, so giving them up for support is probably not a good idea.
And it's my opinion that support talents are even more valuable in 5-mans than raids. If you want to discuss the benefits of a supportless-build I linked a thread for that. All I am doing is giving several decent builds for people who are coming to this forum not knowing what to make of the patch.

In regards to the utility versus DPS for retribution, I have to agree with Falkman. Acts of Sacrifice (situational) or Selfless healer (Oh &*!@) aren't that much of a utility to begin with.
