so i have my authenticator hooked up to my phone but i forgot it at work and it's the weekend...
Then go to your work and get your phone, unless you mean by that you can not get it because its closed and you cant go in and get it.

nope, thats the purpose of the authenticator, you can't log on to anything if you don't have it. My suggestion...get a physical one as a back up, it's only 6 bucks and it's there just in case your phone dies...gets lost...is stolen etc
You can have one of each on your account?

The only way around it would be to call the phone based customer support, but you can't do that over the weekend.

Yeah even if the place is closed on weekends (im going to assume you work at a factory or similar) there should still be a guard that can let you in if you tell him you need to get your phone and prove you work there.

Probably recharges when you plug it into the computer.

I have another question. Will the authenticator ever die? I mean... it must work with a battery, so it will sooner or later...
Its been reported that the battery to the physical one the small one not the phone one will last about 5 years. You can not replace the battery cause if you force it open it will damage it and destroy it beyond being able to ever use again.
