Pulling 10-12k dps in heroics is fail for me.
Being lazy doesn't help, if my heroics are slower because of people like you i will kick you happily even if you are the best dps.
Why would you kick him even if he were the best dps.
And just out of curiosity... how much dps do you think someone should be doing in heroics? 10-12k is more than most folks in the average pug seem to be doing.
I don't care if it's more or less. I care about your attitude through the game. If you need a single-key macro to play, you are a bad player.
It's not about numbers, it's about players.
Thanks for the feedback, those of you that responded positively.
Yeah, cause feedback is good only when positive. The signature of a player that never improves.

I have personally kicked a warrior doing 18.7k dps because he was a rude arrogant prick its not the numbers that matters its the attitude, I know I can carry a group of 6k dps mouth breathers through a heroic if they at least attempt to do mechanics right and learn slightly from their failings. However there is no way in hell I will have some 18k dps warrior start getting up on his high horse because the other dps not in raid gear aren't beating him on dps when he purposely aggro'd 3 extra packs at once to try and inflate his numbers above 20k.
To the question about the macro.
/use 13
/use 14
/castsequence reset=5 mutilate,mutilate,rupture,mutilate,mutilate,envenom
/s What is worse, the spam of this macro or the thought of having to listen to Rebecca Black - Friday for this whole dungeon?

People that think this is a good idea also assume that someone will pay attention to mechanics more if they only have to press one button. If someone plans on being lazy with rotation then most likely they are going to be lazy when it comes to moving out of fire. It's like giving a homeless meth addict $100 to go buy something he needs, but all that money is going to do is strengthen his addiction when he goes and buys more.

How can you guarantee more speed with one button over 3? They would be the same speed for anyone worth their salt in the game. Sending a different signal through your nerve system at least half a second before pressing your next key is the same speed as the signal for pressing the same key. You would have to be handicapped for pressing a new key to affect your speed in doing so.
I never stated that sequence macros are the only lazy players out there. I just said that it makes lazy players even lazier. Maybe if you are a terrible clicker you will be looking at your action bar for everything, but if you have keybindings and have some general knowledge of what you keybound, you shouldn't be looking at your action bar at all. I never look at my action bar when on a boss or even in pvp and I am a stereotypical bad player that clicks, keyboard turns, and only uses recount for addons.
Yes, I had a bias upon seeing the title because it said "
Lazy
heroics macro." How am I not suppose to have a bias towards it when it has lazy directly in the title. I have given the thread a chance, but I haven't heard a strong enough argument to use this macro to change my stance on the subject.

Stuff
The thing is that You're probably playing the same way as you would play with the macro, but with multiple buttons. The macro will work, but would never beat a rogue who is actually adapting the rotation to what procs(Ruthlessness, Seal Fate, Etc). But aside from that, the fact that you don't need that much effort to press a few butons makes this macro silly(I'm too lazy to do no work at all).

Go for it. It is the exact analogy my professor in college gave me when I asked him about it. (He plays Wow; cool old teacher became cooler.) I can give a personal example: My sister is going to college full time and decided to get out of work force to focus on her schooling. She procrastinated a lot more even though she had more time on her hands and her grades plummeted. After a few weeks, she got a new job and her grades went back up since she had more to manage.
People who are given slack tend to slack more than if they had more to manage. It is how the human mind works.

1. What a teacher says isn't per definition correct.
2. Anectdotal observations isn't evidence.
I'm not saying you are wrong. I'd just like to see some harder proof than random ramblings. I know I can focus better if I leave out everything. Going by the schooling example, when I were studying, the most effective way for me, were to stay home all day, doing as little as possible, while listening to instrumental music through headphones. This scored me what is equal to A or B I think (No idea how the Danish system translates to the English/American, whatever, but it was always best or next best result I got).
You also assume that every human works the same way. Haven't heard of personal differences have you?

I might point out that 3 minutes isn't really enough to establish a pattern. You need to go for more like 6-10.

This whole thread is full of elitists who make no sense whatsoever ... like Coldkil.
Welcome to rogue forums, where we try to get the best out of our class, and beat the **** out of people who try to spread misinformation.
Non-optimal playing is and will always be inferior (math proved).
Poeple learning is good. People gimping themselves by purpose because they don't even want to master one of the easiest rotation in game is just lazy - they don't deserve anything.
I expect you to progress a lot while carried.
EDIT: this is the place to ask about the class, your performance and to make jokes about muffins and rockets. Not the place to claim "i play good even if i don't play good".
Sincerely, i hope this is not the approach people have in real life.
