Heirlooms for your monk.

In anticipation of rolling up a Dwarf monk for MoP, I've been thinking about what heirlooms to get him for ultrafast leveling.
Unless blizz changes their mind, monks will be able to wear both melee and caster leather. Since i plan on making my monk a tank, im hoping he will use the melee leather, the shadowcraft stuff. So im working on my JP needed to buy those 2 pieces.
As far as weapons go, unfortunately there are no heirloom agility staves, and monks cant use 2h maces or axes, so i have the Mass of Mcgowan already for my shaman. This of course will change if we find that they use staves more for the tank build or what have you.
What do you guys think?

I think the rogue hairlooms should work just fine in the start if your going to lvl as tank :P
Also about the wep, i dont think any of the hairloom weps is any good, so if i where you would just go with the rogue hairlooms and use weps as i find them :P

Why are thre no Hailooms though?
What would be cooler than an exp bonus for your HAIR?

How so? my shaman is dual wielding the 1h agi hammers and i have yet to get a quest reward or dungeon drop that beats it at the level its available.
Although that may change when he enters outland or northrend, as he is still leveling in the vanilla zones.

Sorry, didnt know monks could use One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Polearms
I thought it only where Fist Weapons, Staves.. by bad. and you will not find any better weps till lvl 80+

I would keep both the 1H maces handy but also get the spellcaster staff just incase since at low lvls it won't matter if you use that one or an agility stave and by the time it starts to matter you'll hopefully have a larger choice of decent dungeon drops.
edit: the stave is in case they'd make the tanking specc heavily centered around staves as far as defense mechanics go, if not you'll prolly be fine using the 2 1Hs even if it means a slight threat drop assuming only the dps specc gets talents to make DW viable.
This is also assuming dual wielding is even available for the class. There has been no mention of it. It may be a spec only thing like enhancement shamans, we just dont know yet.
They may be a class favorable toward a 1her and offhand frill.
What we do know is a majority of the Monks attacks dont use the weapon at all, and are reserved for things like finishers.
Think of the opposite of rogue. You have non-weapon attacks to generate combo points, and the finishers use weapons.

Burnished Warden Staff
hEIrloom thats an E not an A, it has nothing to do with hair, but with heirs.
thank you
and yes they added the staff, saw that a little while ago, pretty cool, probably added it for monks since they cant use maces.

That staff was long overdue helps druids and hunters too, also nice necro. :)
Doesn´t help hunters anymore.
Doesn´t really help druids, since there was already a 2handed AGI mace.
It was added for monks, small bonus if you want to level a druid and didn´t buy the 2mace already.
That said, for leveling, if you have a full set of heirlooms, you can duel-wield the 1-handed maces even if you are tanking. Leveling dungeons up to cata are very very very easy.
