Hello there,
I have a paladin tank that im looking forward to raid with at Mist of Pandaria
My question based on the current knowledge of what is going to happen with professions at Mist of Pandaria is what will be the best combination for a Tank?
Im thinking for a Blacksmithing/Inscription but not sure
And other combo will be Blacksmithing/JewelCracting
What you say?

@way2sexy4u,
There is a definite typo in the buff provided by the Alchemist's Flask. It is almost certainly going to be fixed and set to 320 Agi/Str/Int instead of its current value.
If you look at the other professions, JC provides a 320 primary stat bonus (2x320 pri stat JC only gems instead of 2x160 ordinary gems). Inscription provides a 520 str, 100 crit Scribe only shoulder enchant, instead of the 200 str, 100 crit enchant that everyone else can use. Other professions are similar.
So yes, a guild that is serious about raiding will expect you to have 2 crafting professions as they provide the greatest boost to your primary stat. That said, you can go with almost any profession for any class, with the exception of Tailoring for tanks (tailoring provides no tailoring only dodge enchant for cloaks, so they miss out there).

Since Cata (or even Wrath(?)), the benefits of crafting professions are extremely similar as blowtorch said.
The one exception in my mind would be Engineering. While the bonus Engi provides averages out to be the same as the other crafting professions' bonuses, I disliked the fact that it was a proc. As a fire mage, it never really sync'd in with my Combustion timings or much else.
So with that said, I tend to weight the professions by their side bonuses more than the stat boost, as they are the same most of the time.
Alchemy
: Longer Flask duration, applicable to Guild Flask as well. Useful if your guild raids for more than 2 hours but less than 4; You won't have to chug a 2nd flask. Very good trinket easily accessible.
Blacksmithing/Leatherworking/Tailoring
: Tends to have access to early Raid-Entry level gear to craft.
Enchanting/Jewelcrafting
: Disenchanting/Prospecting and tends to be easy to level in a guild environment (Might just be a personal experience). As with Alchemy, JCs also get very good early game trinkets.
Inscription
: No rep grind needed for the Shoulder Enchant faction.
Engineering
: Good trinket early on.

AFAIK Blizzard said that all shoulder enchants now are made by Inscription. No faction-wise enchant anymore. Correct me, if I am wrong.
Personally, I'll go with Alchemy (and Herbalism. I can't stand that two crafting professions anymore).
