on any given day on my horde server there is no less than 12 of these in the AH at any given time. id be willing to bet most of them are duped.

i bought my crimson deathcharger for 35k, but before i did that i also made a ticket.
the GM responded among the lines, if its on the AH we will consider the mount you bought as legal on your part. if you buy it through trade it will be deleted gold wont be returned.
in both cases the seller will be penaltized.
i dont know if thats the overall blizzard policy but it made me feel secure enough too buy mounts through the AH.
so far i only got a crimson deathcharger (about 5 months ago 35k and an amani dragonhawk for 59k a few days ago)
considering its a TCG mount i cant image the dragonhawk not being duped, but for such a low price i just couldnt resist it (before and currently they are between 95-135k on the AH the whole time)

I don't understand how someone can "dupe" an item.

Goldsellers don't tend to follow rules involving exploits. There has been some sort of hack/exploit allowing duping of certain items, that has become fairly obvious. I know on my realm the biggest things duped were deatchargers and epic gems. Hopefully Blizz takes care of this soon.

I wasn't saying I didn't think they would break the rules. I meant I can't conceive of how you physically could dupe an item, since I believe that information is stored on their server, and not something you can edit on the client side.

I'd say that your posting this helps to take away any "good faith" on the part of the buyers.
That's hardly a fair comment. People don't stop getting legit mounts because duping happens and you can't exactly tell what a specific mount is from by looking at them on the AH. If you genuinely want the mount and wish to pick it up for a price you consider a good deal why should you allow yourself to be scared into not buying one just because some of the ones you see listed
might
be duped?

Whilst a lot of them could be legit, when you see 9 or 10 on the AH being offered by the same character with an unpronounceable name for the same low price you tend to assume the worst.

@ Vankartae: And that's when you submit a ticket and point it out the GMs rather than buy the goods. I've yet to see any such thing, though I do mostly play on fairly low-pop realms.

No sorry I disagree.
I think its a case of Shadowmourne being so much easier to obtain now.
One of my closest friends has 98 Crimson Deathchargers in his personal 7th guild bank tab. He paid 500k to receive all of them from one buyer. If they're not being duped, then someone has an extreme infatuation with collecting multiples of them and selling them for a little over 5k each.

It's not just the Deathcharger, it's all BoE mounts. And yes, they are being duped.
