Low level instance healing

Just did my first ever instance with my Rogue toon and really enjoyed it. Now I want to do some instances with my Priest. I have a level 20 priest (spec'd shadow but I suspect I'll end up as a healer in the instances) and don't want to look to amateurish if I go with a group to heal.
Can anyone give me a few pointers and/or a link that will help me.
Great forum btw but could do with a forum search :)

Pay close attention to your parties health bars.
Try to anticipate needed heals. Don't react, plan ahead.
Try not to get stuck in the situation of having 2 people in desperate need of healing at once. That is, if two people are taking damage, try to get one early, even thought hey may not need it immedidately.
Don't draw aggro if you can help it.
use you fade to "kite" the mobs
Conserve mana, trying to bunch heals together, so you can get as much mana regen outside the 5 second rule.
Let someone die if it saves the group. That is, if the tank goes down, the entire group will probably go down. Save the tank.

All relevant advice posted previously. One other thing I want to bring up is keeping heals "in the hole". By that I mean start casting your most efficient heal even when the tank isn't taking any damage. Cancel the heal before it goes off if its unnecessary, and recast it over and over again. If the tank has taken damage by the time your heal is 1.5s to go, let it finish.
Canceling heals midcast doesn't trigger the 5 second rule and can allow your mana to keep regenerating. It also provides you with an on demand heal in case the tank takes some unexpected spike damage.
You may want to employ a /stopcasting macro to make this more seemless. Alternatively, you can just move slightly to the left or right with the strafe keys to cancel. Just never jump to cancel a spell cast, it creates unnecessary delay.

Much of the advice already posted by others here will help greatly. The best teacher is experience, though, especially in healing; everyone looks a bit clueless at first. To be honest, if you are completely new to healing, I would actually recommend using a Holy/Discipline healing build even whilst leveling in order to become accustomed to the 'feel' of it and understand what to do, especially if you plan on respecialising to a full-time healing build once you reach maximum level.
Here is another tip, a very important one: use Greater Heal most of the time! Flash Heal should be cast sparingly and only in specific situations. Greater Heal is far more mana efficient and the most foolish thing one can do (which I see many former Shadow Priests doing at 70 much to their team's dismay) is spam Flash Heal frantically and subsequently run out of mana.
Also, I highly recommend using some nice healing add-ons. There are a variety from which to choose, but personally my favourite is Healbot. It will require a bit of tinkering to become truly useful, but with a little bit of experience with it, you'll love it! X-Perl UnitFrames is quite nice, too.
Lastly, make various healing macros with modifiers, such as the following:
/cast Greater Heal 1
/cast Greater Heal 7
...or something similar, whatever you feel most comfortable using.
Good luck, and do not be discouraged---practise really does make perfect!
