Priest on a PvP server

For dungeons I do healing, but what do you think would be the most effective priest spec/talents/glyphs -setup for world-PvP survivability?
At the moment it seems to me that trying to run a way isn´t a good option. Attack seems to be the best defence. Please correct me if I´m wrong.
I´m also considering moving my character to a PvP server which has a bit more balanced ratio of factions. Now it´s 15% Alliance, 85% Horde. And I am on the weaker side. Any suggestions for a EU PvP realm good for alliance?
All help appreciated. Thanks!

So maybe shadow is the best answer... I´m pondering over the spec, though. As the aim is to survive, would the best option be to mindcontrol, walk the attacker as far as possible and then run? :)

Shadow pretty ridiculous self healing for a dps spec. If you pop VE with dots up it goes from ridiculous to obscene. I got into a whole bunch of fights while leveling and never lost a 1v1, survived most fights against 2-3 as well.
MC is too slow casting, too quick to break and you can't move anywhere while controlling the other guy. If you just want to run you'll probably gain more distance by fearing them and running in the opposite direction.

What would be your PvP Shadow Spec? My problem seems to be with classes that have many stuns. For example a rogue. What is it you do agains rogues? :)

something like this
Void Tendrils
and
Phantasm
synergise fairly well for gaining distance when you are slowed.
Charred Glyph
and
Charred Glyph
is probably the most important bit since it enables you to pretty much spam (at PoM's 10 second cd) fairly strong instant heals on yourself.
because you can never have enough shadow orbs, especially not in PvP.
Ride out damage cooldowns (against rogues mind full duration kidney +
Sting Like a Bee
, depending on spec) in Dispersion. Only use VE with full dots up, preferably when you're free to follow up with a mind blast and a few mind flays as well (against rogues this will probably be on your second fear) but try to use it as to maximise hp recovery.

Perhaps, Izich, I would take FDCL over Mindbender; assuming most PvP encounters won't last much, SF will be more effective than the Bender, and getting Mind Spike at 43 will get you a huge burst if it procs right from the point you spec FDCL. This assumes that you can V.Touch reliably, which is a compromise in itself, but in a short PvP encounter it should prove worthier than a lower cooldown, less damage Shadowfiend. A proc from that might be unreliable, but it is DEVASTATING should it happen.
It comes down to preference, of course.
Heck, if I was ganked (this was a long while ago, but still applies), I used downtime in a fight (example: Paladin Divine Shields before I have MassDispel) to DoT surrounding monsters to increase my chance of getting key talent procs. Using that to increase your likelihood of getting FDCL procs is a very smart way of getting an upper hand in battle.

Good point, the spec I linked what was I ran with but it wasn't purpose built for PvP. FDCL would probably be more useful most of the time. That said, I did have a few fights where I was able to use multiple Mindbenders, mainly against other hybrids with good selfhealing like rets.
Under similar logic, you might wish to use Inner Fire glyph over Dispersion.

Thanks for your advice! Think I will try this for now:

I changed the Glyph of Dispersion to Glyph of Reflective Shield because I think the 15 seconds for Dispersion isn´t as beneficial in PvP.
Do you find Spectral Guise useful? I would think that you could fool the attackers by it for a few seconds.

Well, it depends on what you're against. However, let's put it this way: 3 attacks will take around ~2 seconds from a Rogue, for example. Casters would likelly take longer, as would 2handed classes. The 6 seconds I just do not see happening. However, the Angelic Bulwark will last 20% of your health bar ,which effectivelly also gives you a few extra seconds to live, and does not require your activation, meaning that even if stunned, it will be there for you - it even stops assassination techinques like Execute or Kill Command.
Of course, in ideal situations, the Guise will probably be more efective; if the enemy isn't all that skilled, it's a tricky move that will create you some distance and breathing room - perhaps even allow a Mind Control to go off - however, for the most cases, I'd go with a more reliable Bulwark over a risky Guise. Of course, the fun factor enters too - Guising into victory is probably a lot funnier than Bulwark-surviving onslaught...
Go with what you feel, as there isn't a wrong option! I mean, when I level another Priest, I'm also likelly to get Spetral Guise if only to see it for a bit, even if I feel Angelic Bulwark is the stronger option. :)
