Question About Sunsong Ranch

I am well on my way to getting my farm/ranch and after reading the guide/news about the 'ranch', I know that one of the rep rewards for one of the ten tiller members is furnishings for the house. Does anyone know if this 'house' that you get also acts as an Inn? You know, gives you the little glowy 'zzz' by your portrait, allows you to log without waiting, etc.. Or is it like any other house/hut/whatever. Thank you!

It doesn't do anything practical. It's just aesthetics for the hut that is on your farm. If you go into it now you'll see it's just junk inside. Once your friendship gets high enough with one of those tillers it will have furniture and such. It does not make it an inn or anything of that nature.(##RESPBREAK##)12##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

Ugh, that's too bad...It's a wonderful idea though! I'm sure that idea would take off the ground if users had a chance to gain rep to deck out there own houses.

There's an inn approximately three seconds' flight away. I'm fine with most of my farm's trappings being cosmetic.

I figured as much, but I was just curious since I hadn't seen anything regarding that! I'm totally a-okay with it being completely for show, I was just wondering. xD

That might be true, but there's a lot of "stuff" in the way between you and the inn, you have to run up a hill on foot/mounted. Its just blocky, and lots of people there make you lag.
I can't blame her for wanting it to function as an inn, doesn't matter how far away one is. You could say that about just anywhere in wow.
I don't see why if they let you have a convenient mail box why getting rested would be such and issue. Especially since you cant even get furniture in your house until your lvl 90. It wouldnt be an over powered inclusion.
Personally, I do wish more things were useful. I worked really hard to grind out the rep in like a week to catch up with all my guildies and I'm kinda disappointed now that its done. I mean, my farm looks awesome, but then everyone else's does too. I wish they would eventually let you customize it in some way, like move the animals around or the pond around and change the color scheme. But of course this could all just be the Sim player in me, trying to design stuff XD

@ GeorgeBob: Are you serious?
In case you are, you can't start improving your farm until you're 90, which is also when you get Panda flight. Even so, ground-riding up to the inn takes, what, 20 seconds? That's probably aiming high.

You can easily reduce anything to that simple argument. But after doing 3 hours of constant dailies, each little thing matters. Its only a suggestion.
And yes, I do get extreme lag. Someone always has a blingtron and consequently someone always has party grenades going on. This is all in addition to the throngs of people who linger at the market.
Are you telling me it wouldn't be nice?

Maybe not an inn but a mini-bank would be sweet. It'd be nice to have a storage area for seeds, tools, and food grown from the farm in your shack, although I say this mostly because my bank is full. It may be a hording problem but still it'd be nice.

Wow, thats a great idea! I have entire bag thats just devoted to farm stuff. It would be cool to be able to unlock like a tool shed or seed sacks.

@ GeorgeBob: I'm telling you it'd be pretty pointless. If I could have it for five dollars, I wouldn't buy it.
Also: Add to the usefulness of the farm, and you'd increase lag in the area, as more people would use it as a hanging out spot. Not that I've had problems with lag in Halfhill.

Not everyone's experience is the same as your own. And because the farm is phased out, its like a breath of fresh air when I get away from the market. You could say a lot of the things in the game are pointless. Whats the point of having lower hearth stone cool downs as a guild reward? That's kinda pointless, you could just wait an extra 5 min right? Whats the point of having faster gryphon flights from flight masters? You go afk any ways right? Or would it be, hey why don't you just fly and take short cuts? What about those pesky banquets...people could eat their own buff food right? Enough of it drops off mobs in mop, those banquets are pointless ;)
Just because you feel it's not a big enough upgrade doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good idea or appreciated.

At least it's possible to cook. =D
To be honest, I don't particularly mind it the way it is right now considering the sort of upgrades you can get. If anything, I think the best friends you can hire on the farm having no benefit whatsoever is more of a sore point than anything.

There is a game you would like a lot: Farmville ;-)

As you earn friendships with the various farmers, you'll get a mail box, some non active pets and when getting all 10 friendship maxed, your hut gets nicely decorated and there's a active stove you can use to cook with. inhouse storage would be nice but blizz went with the bag route for now.
Also, do what I do and keep the major vendor (the woman) who sells the various faction items and does repairs on your farm. Once you hit max with the tillers, you'll be finding youself only going to the market to buy seeds and doing swaps for ironpaw tokens.
Hopefully they'll expand on the rep items because i'm sitting with several apples I can't use.

You're not running anywhere on foot or ground-mounted at level 90, which is the level you need to be in order to acquire rep with the Tillers and with the character who gets you the furniture at Best Friend in the first place. Is it really that big a hassle to fly from your farm to the inn which is about two microseconds away?
You know what else would be a suuuuuuuuuuuuper so so cutely cute idea too, is if you could just death grip inns toward
you
, and actually just death grip anything in the game toward you, having to move sucks so much :(

Seems unlikely. They've made it impossible to acquire those after you're Best Friends with everyone, now that you no longer get them from farming once you're there. I've destroyed all those I got from farming that I couldn't use for anything. I guess the best I
could
hope for was them becoming BoA.
