I have two 22" monitors and the game looks fine. The UI can be scaled accordingly so if the size of the interface is a concern you shouldn't have to worry about that.

I have a 24" Full 1080p monitor, and works great with my 2GB GTX650. Around 50-80+ FPS, depends on where you actually are.

I'll try to remember when I get home to post a screenshot. I do all my forum browsing when I'm at work so I don't have one readily available atm.

22inch should be perfect or 24inch, if you happen to be sitting at a computer desk, so the monitor is just infront of you. If you intend to be at a distance / far away from the screen, then it might be a problem, depending on your eye-sight.
I use a 22inch screen.. works like a dream. My monitor is just infront on my desk. I think anything bigger then i would have to play table tennis, to see the entire screen.
I prefer to be sitting at my desk, so this size screen is just right for my needs.
The quality of my screen looks amazing, mine is rather a
old
model
. But still no issues
4years
later.
Samsung SyncMaster T220 Widescreen 22 Inch LCD
22″ Wide TFT-LCD Monitor
Up to 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA+)
Dynamic Contrast 20000:1
Fast Response Time: 2ms
This model got some bad press & good press.. but over-all, the price tag was good value at the time. If Samsung still makes a product similar to this i wouldn't think twice about getting another, if this happens to die on me.
Tip:
Thankfully the market for monitors has a bundant amount of different brands, quality / screen size & price range. So shop about to see whats is available before buying anything. Test out what screen size you would prefer, for me this is very important.
Next up... If you intend on buying from the net, perhaps see if you can find a similar model from a local shop to test what its like. Most good computer shops will have a monitor setup with a latest game so you can see them in action.
