Just got envenom, and sadly it does 100% less damage than eviscerate, and i have no
to increase that damage yet. Should i just keep with it, or switch to combat?

Most people would recommend to go sub for pvp/questing due being able to 2-3 shot things. For dungeons, go combat due to the high dps from blade fury cleaves when pulling more than 1 target. And assassin for single target end game spec.

Have shadow focus as tier 1 talent, start of with a mutilate. Coat both of weapons with Instant Poison finish with an eviscerate. If you still dont like it switch your spec and try again at lvl of 80=<

I don't mean to be rude, Attis, but your poison advice is.... Weird. Poison doesn't go on specific weapons any more, and you can't apply more than one kind of each poison (lethal/nonlethal being the kinds I'm talking about). And he can't finish with eviscerate, envenom just replaced it.
@ beverice: I'd stick with it a little while and see if it evens out. Don't forget the envenom buff is an important part of what makes envenom good. But if it doesn't work out, by all means go sub if you like to quest or combat if you prefer dungeon leveling.

You can't, Zak. Envenom replaces Eviscerate now.

Envenom does very little damage when you first get it, but it improves as you level. Just make it a low priority ability. I'm leveling my Rogue as Assassin, level 63 now and always topped charts until DKs with their OP Blood Boil. You can of course switch spec if you want, but there's no need.

Until you get the mastery, just Muti to 4-5, then apply Rupture until they bleed to death, making sure that Slice n' Dice stay up at all times.
It'll go pretty quick.
If you're going to level as any other spec, I'd probably recommend Combat, as it's got the best speed vs. survivability vs. damage ratio of the three. Sub is near and dear to my heart, and the above poster is right, you can generally 2-3 shot things, but if you
don't
, you're in trouble unless you vanish and try again.

I leveled my rogue as Assassination, and usually spent my CP on SnD, Rupture, and Recuperate until I got
Cut to the Chase
, when I started using it as necessary to refresh SnD. Obviously getting Mastery made it higher priority, but until then it's not really worth it unless you have extra CP to burn.
And once you get Fan of Knives, just spam that in dungeons (use the CP on Rupture for more energy regen) and you'll top the DPS meter without even trying, until level 80 or so when it starts sucking.

So you claim you havent had
Charred Glyph
which is available at 25? Waste..
Nope. I preferred
Charred Glyph
for speeding up the gathering quests.

I'm leveling as Assassination, because I have 2 heirloom daggers. I'm dualspecced as Combat, but regardless of how good weapons I get, I can't top my Assassination spec. The daggers give a better result, and that's almost 10% worse than assassination. I'm using Glyph of Deadly Momentum.
I use the following priority against pretty much everything. I enjoy multi-pulling.
Target above 35% hp?
Mutilate
Target below 35% hp?
Dispatch
4/5 combo points?
SnD
Recuperate
Rupture
Envenom
Envenom is rarely worth it for me, because I chain-pull as fast as I do with shadow step or Sprint. That means that full energy from Rupture is always better than the little burst from Envenom. Not to mention that using Dispatch is better than Envenom anyway.
I think the only reason I ever use Envenom, is because I need to refresh SnD during long fights. And while leveling, dungeons or not, there are no long fights. Ever.

If you want a short answer: "Whatever driving your car."
I'm rolling with combat, and only recently got some non-shameful DPS numbers in recent dungeon runs. Reading some guides helps, I think.
