Does anyone know how spells that are split across targets (Such as Ta'yak's
Unseen Strike
or Qiang's
Massive Attacks
) are calculated? The reason I ask is that I use my rogue's feint and
Elusiveness
to avoid some of the incoming damage, and I'm wondering if the damage that is split is calculated before or after Elusiveness.
I assume its after, but I really can't tell if I'm hurting the rest of the raid or not.
edit: Does it also apply for dodges/parries?

By using the ability you are avoiding some of the damage and it isnt transfered to other people. If thats what you asking.
You cant dodge or parry these afaik.

as far i always understood it, and it seems to be right is that the damage is split between all targets it hits. and then the damage gets reduced for each individual target, depending on what damage reduc abilities they got up.
for example during
Unseen Strike
i always use
Deterrence
(with correct talent it has a 1min cd, which allows you too use it every time).
this reduces the damage i take by a lot less. but it didnt increase the damage the rest took. i know this for sure from tries were i messed up my detterence timing and i wasnt able too use it. during unseen strike
