So, I was thinking of picking up my lvl 63 DK as I would want a toon that can tank.
Said and done, I logged in and ....realised that I dont have a clue about anything.
Usualy im able to read up on stuff but I have had a hard time to find the info I want
I was thinking about going blood for leveling. This means that I can start tanking in some dungeons too, wish will be....an experience...
But I do not have a clue about rotation or anything. Icy-veins have one for tanking, but its for lvl 90 and I dont even have outbeak yet.
I would want to know how rotation for soloing, both one on one, and aoe.
Guess that DK aoe grind decent?
Also, gear wise? should I go with sta on tanking gear and str on dps gear? Or can I just go str even for tanking while leveling up ?
What reforge should I use on my sword?
Is there any basic understanding site for dk that I can read up on? Havent found any :)
any other hints and tips is much appriciated. Maybe there is some good pages that I have not yet found out there?
Ty in advance!

Hey hutter.
I will explain a little bit how blood dk levelling was for me.
I recently levelled my dk from 85 to 90 (playing extensively at cata times) and I found that blood is only awesome to level when you plan to aoe more mobs at a time, but the damage on single targets is not outstanding - I don't know how it works under 85, you have to figure out yourself. And I wanna add that you will probably never die as a blood dk, since death strike is used alot.
I leveled as unholy - I prefer that over frost - and since you lack healing abilities while questing, I would suggest you use death pact as a talent and use it on cooldown, it has a 2-minute-cd - same as summoning your ghoul (doesn't matter if unholy or frost or blood) so its awesome while leveling. Also make extensive use of deathstrike - combined with dark succor, like a 20% heal after every mob.
Outbreak puts your diseases instantly at your target once every 60 seconds, so basically the same as using icy touch and plague strike, only without a rune cost or initial damage. So its just making your rotation easier, but it's not mandatory, so don't think about it yet if you don't have it.
Your tank rotation in dungeons should be like:
Put death and decay on the ground, icy touch and plague strike on one target, pestilence + blood boil. (I use rolling blood as first talent, because you can skip pestilence and you can easily tank new targets with blood boil adding the diseases while dealing damage so its perfect).
After that use Death strike for self healing and absorption shield (you gain that with lvl 80 - blood mastery) and heart strike if 3 or less targets or blood boil if there are more. Similar than your lvl 90 dungeon rotation - priority list.
As for equip, I would just use every plate str item you can get till 90, i personally tanked every dungeon from 85-90 with just normal gear - just prefer mastery over crit or haste.
You'll get crusader runeforge enchant at lvl 70, thats the best for levelling, until then use which one you like.
I hope that I could help you a little bit, if you get more questions or I forgot to answer some, don't hesitate to ask again.

I (and occasionally taking a tougher enemy - rare elite or something).
Yes killing rares are a breeze as Blood. I did 85-90 as Blood and had a great time doing so. The only pain in the arse was switching specs when I was awarded a blue quest item.
Its all personal prefference and everyone will have a different opinion on this subject- which comes up about once a week. Play the spec you like and level at your own pace!

To toss in my two copper, I leveled frost with a blood spec if I felt like doing dungeons or I needed to solo a difficult quest. Realistically, any DK spec is just fine for leveling, but Frost is would be my choice if I was to level another DK.

I dont see how obviously better performance of dps spec while grinding can be personal preference. Its a fact, not an opinion.
Unless by personal prefernce you mean a choice to waste loads of time and effort on something that can be done faster and smoother.
Example of a fact:
"Frost is a much more efficient leveling spec."
Example of an opinion:
"Frost is a much more enjoyable leveling spec."
The former is demonstrably provable; the latter is not. Arguments should be rooted in fact, but opinions need not be.
