Does it seem like Blizz is trying to salvage CRZ?

CRZ is fine, resource nodes respawn faster when there's more people.

I think the majority of us would have just preferred being given the OPTION of turning CRZ off.
Yes, well, I would have preferred the OPTION to turn off achievements, or at least achievement sharing on account basis. Blizz has no history of catering to minorities: you can in no way prove that you speak for a majority, and since there hasn't been any mass exodus since the introduction of CRZ I can only assume that most players (however grudgingly) accept it. As do you, since you still play the game.
It's really, really useless to complain about some game feature over and over, especially on a web site forum that is in no way related to Blizzard. The only difference you can make is by taking your money elsewhere. There's a lot of MMOs out there.
BTW, the ore changes were made an entire expansion *before* the introduction of CRZ.

I like CRZ. I've never ran into a problem with it. I understand some people don't care for it or even outright despise it. But, from what I can tell that opinion isn't the consensus.

My issue with CRZ is not with nodes, but with doing quests. A lot of times I have to wait to kill quest mobs because there's a bazillion other people in that area. And then when they do respawn they respawn way too fast, right on top of me, and I have to get out of there really fast before I get killed.

Hmmmmm yo, you CAN do that.
:P
I hate CRZ, I would had loved it if this was a game built around cooperation with other players, but its not, this is a game built around competition with other players. You're not supposed to be happy to see them, you're supposed to be angry to see them. It means less nodes to farm, less mobs to kill, more average wait time on quest-targets, and in pvp realms, it means a living hell.
When leveling my alliance alts in nazjatar, I have to bypass completely Hellfire Peninsula, and Hyjal, because both zones are nothing more than a 24/7 gankfest. Blizz may as well remove all quests in these areas because there is no way in hell to get any quests done in either of these areas at any time. If there was some sort of downgrade system, where a lvl 90 in a lvl 60 zone gets de-leveled to 60, that would make things at least SOMEWHAT fair, but nope, doesn't happen, therefore, that's no battle, there's no glory in it, that's just a slaughter fest that brings no joy to my game.
It only served to push me further away from pvp realms, and if it wasn't for the fact that 4 really REALLY good friends of mine play in nazjatar, I would had gone the hell away from that place a long time ago.
This is where I wish part of the features in GW2 made their way to wow, cuz then CRZ would be a good idea.
If there was no mob tagging, if lvl 90s get downscaled to the level of the zone, if 2 complete strangers attack the same mob yet both get the same exp from it, then maybe, MAYBE, CRZ would be less loathed from me.
In its current state, it is by far and wide my most despised feature of the game, and every time I level an alt (be it in PVE realms, and ULTRA-MEGA-SPECIALLY on pvp realms) I am counting the seconds till I am in pandaria, and free of that infernal mess.

How? This is also something I'd like to turn off from time to time (achievement sharing).

An option to turn it off would be nice. But it's not going to happen. CRZ is a zone/realm wide implementation, not a per character implementation.
Just for the record, I hate CRZ too. That's why I play on Venture Co. which is CRZ free.
Cheers.

If you are like me on an imbalanced PVP realm, then the the fact that the Pandaren areas are not CRZ enabled is bad news.
When you are in the other zones, CRZ means that you are closer to 50:50 and life is so much easier for levelling.
In the Pandaren areas trying to do dailys when you are outnumbered 3:1 is at times a nightmare.
When we were doing the server wide progress in Thunder Isle, the Horde on my server contributed between 80 And 90% of the progress on each phase which gives you an idea of the problem.
We need some form of CRZ in these zones for realms like mine.
ugh, no thank you.
Naz is imbalanced in pvp, Horde outnumbers alliance A LOT, (And I'm alliance on that realm)
However, Naz is a low-pop realm in the first place, so I almost never encounter any problems, if any.

CRZ was meant to restore one of the pillars of the game.... War!.
Not fair...not balance...just plain war. It has done that.
It was also meant to convey an active questing world...which it does.
I got into this game on a new player server during TBC that had a very active Wpvp and questing zones.
Ganking and quest/node competition was just a backdrop of the game. I rarely heard anyone complain.
Let's face it, the zones were dead pre-CRZ.
I am a fan of CRZ, but I'm not blind to its faults, it has to be improved. As it is now, all Blizz did was follow in the footsteps of LFD/LFR and bring the same anonymity and behavior to the rest of Azeroth.

Honestly, while CRZ may have had its problems before, they seem rather negligible nowadays, especially when my realm actually feels populated now...

I suspect this is the view of the silent majority.
This year, I haven't heard anybody complaining about CRZ on the servers I'm on.
Last year I heard somebody complaining on about three occasions.
If I didn't visit Wowhead, I wouldn't know that some people had an issue with it.
I think the reason it has died down is simply because everyone now has their monks at 90. Most people noticed it on pvp servers, or those with gathering professions... and mostly that was because they had to level up a monk.
But the reason I like CRZ is simply because the ones who benefit from it most, new players, arenĀ“t going to write threads about it. Right now, CRZ is not joining together veteran players who want to speed level their monks (we are done), it is joining together new players who are seeing a world with other players.
Nothing was more depressing than starting a new MMO and having the entire leveling process being a ghost town.

I have progressed through all the classic stages of grief with crz, starting with denial and ending with acceptance. Now all I would like to see happen with crz is a full roll out as it is obvious at this point Blizz would burn their servers in a fire before getting rid of it.
So if we have to have it, lets have cross realm guilds with the ability to raid current tiers and cross realm auction houses, do that and crz would actually make sense for low pop realms because as it stands the only benefit is artificial.
