What is the reason behind using a slow main hand and fast off hand with Subtlety build? Is it because offhand miss rate?

1) Both hands have the miss rate
2) It is for the poison procs.

So it would work with fast main hand and slow offhand if you got poison on the main hand?

What's the logic in using a slow weapon in the offhand? If it's faster, you get more poisons procs -> your damage is increased. Also your fast mainhand gimps your damage through weaker instant attacks.

Theortically you could have a fast main hand and slow off hand, but the problem with that is your hemo would be doing really poor dmg and in the event that you were using shiv as your main attack, it would be really expensive (even more costly than hemo itself) for no bonus damage and from what your saying, no poison proc either. There just isn't a point to going slow off hand fast main hand.

Besides the insane nerf to your overall damage, Shiv is going to cost an assload of energy for no gain at all, thus making your job at controlling the fight all the more difficult.

These "rules" does apply to every build by the way, not just Subtlety.
Rob
But don't you want two same speed daggers for a mutilate build? ;)
