As shown, a couple peices were left out, and they didnt appear to start with trinkets or a shirt/tabard. There's some pictures around here of the armor, and the weapon looks like runeblade of rivendare.
The armor has a pretty norse/viking feel to it, awesome design if you ask me, but i'm a bit dissapointed in some of the gear stats. Hopefully the DK's magic abilities (diseases/spells) scale off of attack power rather than spell damage, so they arent forced to mix stats like ret paladins had to do for so long (blizz finally fixed that, now they only need AP/crit).

Total stats:
2956 armor
144 strength
93 stamina
38 agility
28 crit rating (2.22% at lvl 55)
6 hit rating (0.66% at lvl 55)
30 haste rating (a bit more than 3% at lvl 55)
This is not too bad considering they are starting gears and you didnt have to do anything to get them.

exactly, this gear will easily last the 3 levels required to get into outland. It's about equivalent to the green gear you'd have in the mid 50's anyways, and some of the items are better even.
I just hope blizz goes and adds past sets for them, like the current tier 3.5 / tier 4 / tier 5 / tier 6, even though itll be hard to get with the new levels and instances/raids, it'd still be nice to have options in the current bc dungeons.

Not rly a point to add old gear for dk's, as cool as it would be. Oh btw visas, ur sig is the best i've ever seen. =D
It's the sith code from starwars, missing the last line "the force shall free me", but the force doesnt fit in all that much with WoW =P
Symbolic of a sort, 'breaking the chains' of the lich king's control over the character (a death knight, of course) by using his own power against him.

Do you really think that its gonna use AP like ret pallys? Because the way i look at it DK is like the opposite of a pally. Pallys are all holy and tanking DK is all shadow and tanking.
Blizzard has learned from their mistakes with the retribution tree. Trying to focus a class on both melee stats and spell damage at the same time is not an effective way of doing things, as it cuts your effective itemization points in half on all class-specific gear.
They've made almost everything in the ret tree scale with melee stats now. Spell damage has been removed from 'paladin-intended' weapons, and replaced with melee stats. I HIGHLY doubt they'll make the same mistakes again.
Deathknights will most likely scale with melee stats rather than spell damage. That isnt to say that spell damage wont be useful to them - it will probably benefit a large portion of their abilities - but right now they have talents and passive effects which convert attack power into bonus spell damage so they dont have to go for both stats on the same gear.
none of the deathknight starting gear has spell damage on it, that's a pretty good hint at what stats you'll be aiming for in future gear.

I went off of a leaked video that showed the starting gear, but the player in the video skipped the cloak/belt slots so I didnt have the stats or names for those items.

they are goin to be way overpowered be ready to see nerf's after nerf's on them
and you deduced this fact from... their starting gear?
That gear is very similar to standard greens/blues you can get at that level, and you'll replace it the instant you get into outland at 58 anyways.
Right now, deathknights are looking fairly strong, but look at what some of the other classes are getting and tell me Dk's are overpowered.
Warriors are going to be able to dual wield 2handed weapons.
Druids are going to have a 30 second immunity to ALL CC effects, like the beast within but with a longer duration.
Warlocks are going to be able to turn into demons with 360% extra armor and bonuses to health.
Shadowpriests are getting an ability that reduces all damage taken by 90% and regenerates 36% of their max health and mana over 6 seconds, without having to leave shadowform.
Every class is getting powerful abilities in WOTLK, I'm fairly certain deathknights will be powerful - but they wont be overpowered in the least.
