SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF THREAD FOR LATEST UPDATES
Hey all! I posted about this on reddit recently but thought I would share over here as well. My boyfriend and I have been working on a new raid progression website called Raider.IO and we would really love as much community feedback as possible during these early development stages.
At the top of our page we display a timeline showing where all of the high ranked guilds currently reside in the Nighthold progression race. It's particularly exciting seeing as nobody in the world has killed Gul'dan yet. You can use the navigation to change the instance, region, and difficulty that you're browsing.
Right now we do not have a page in place that makes it easy to navigate to a specific realm (working on it!) but the realm pages ARE there. You can see any realm by going to a URL similar to this one:
http://www.raider.io/the-nighthold/realm-rankings/eu/tarren-mill/mythic
Simply adjust the URL to include the realm you want to visit. You may need to change the region as well. We know this is inconvenient at the moment, but rest assured the realm navigation page will be up soon and with it the ability to see connected servers. :)
Just to give you an idea on some of the site changes that will be coming fairly soon: we will have the realm navigation (as mentioned above), auto completion for the realm input field on the guild update page - making it easier to type in your server name for an update, and a unique graph display that gives you the overall realm progression at a glance.
There are many more features queued up but those are on our higher priority list that the moment! This is the area where you guys can help make an impact. The two big things we hope to hear about from the community include:
1.) What do you like about the site and would you consider coming back to it?
2.) What sort of features would you like to see made available in the future?
We really appreciate the input, ladies and jellyspoons! The more info we get from you guys the better the site can be :)

Feel free to hit me up with any questions you may have as well.

We've been continuing behind the scenes on Raider.IO, and are now hitting a regular update rhythm. We're planning to release new features to the site once per week, on Tuesdays. Sometimes these may be small updates, and other times they'll be large updates.
This week we'd like to introduce the Realm list page: raider.io/the-nighthold/realms/us/heroic
On this page (accessible via the "Realms" dropdown in nav) you'll see:
- A list of all realms in a given region, grouped by the connected realm they are a part of
- The type, faction balance, language, and time zones for the realms
- And a chart indicating the distribution of raid progress for that realm at the chosen difficulty
Our intent with the chart was to help make it easy for a raider looking to find other realms to understand at a glance the sort of raiding activity that goes on in that realm.
The first week we launched we received numerous suggestions from the community for features they would like to see, and we're hoping to start implementing some of those in the coming weeks. :)

We've just launched a couple new features on Raider.IO and wanted to provide you all with the details. This update has an important quality-of-life feature along with something we think provides a cool way to look at the existing data:
1) Add Guild page supports Realm Auto Complete
You can now start typing part of your realm name on this page and it will help auto-complete it for you. This should make queueing guilds much easier than how it used to be. In addition, we've made this page remember the last region and realm you had queued up.
2) View Time Since Guild's Previous Boss Kill on Rankings
The boss tooltip on the guild rankings page now states how much time passed from that guild's previous boss kill to the current boss kill. This provides an easy way to learn about a guild's raiding successes and challenges: For example, we can hover over Method's Tichondrius kill and see that it took them 19 hours from Krosus before downing it. We could then hover up to Serenity's Tichondrius kill and see that it took them under 2 hours to kill Tichondrius. Huge difference! You can view a GIF example of this tooltip here: i.imgur.com/3af2og9.gif
That's all for this week. More to come next week!

We've got a brief feature update for this week: You can now filter the Realms list to specific Time Zones or Languages.
This allows you to:
- See only Oceanic realms: raider.io/the-nighthold/realms/us/mythic/timezone/oceanic
- See only realms in US Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones: raider.io/the-nighthold/realms/us/mythic/timezone/us-eastern
- See realms designated for a specific language: raider.io/the-nighthold/realms/eu/mythic/language/ru-ru
You can find this feature by hovering over the "Realms" dropdown (or clicking "Realms" in the mobile nav).
More to come!

Hi all,
This week's update contains important stepping stones in preparation for guild pages:
Search for Guilds, Realms, or Bosses
On every page (including on mobile) you should have access to a Search bar. You can type part of the name of the guild, realm, or boss you are looking for, and Raider.IO will automatically suggest matches to you. Click one of the matches to be taken to that page. This is something we hope to help make it easy for people to get to the specific guilds or realms they care about. Note: If you don't see your guild in the list, then queue it up to be crawled by going here:
https://raider.io/add
Miscellaneous
There's been a lot of internal work this past week in preparation for the guild pages. This update includes some of these changes, but most of it won't be things people can see externally. The one exception here is a fix for hiding of disbanded guilds from the rankings. Now, once a guild has been confirmed as disbanded from the Battle.net API, we will hide them from rankings. Note: We plan to make the "Hall of Fame" be an exception to this rule, allowing it to act as a permanent record.
Check it out here:
https://raider.io
Next week
Our plan is to begin rolling out guild pages next week. We will be starting small, with just a couple of features on the guild pages, and then continue to add to it over the coming weeks.

We'd like to introduce you to the very first stage of the Raider.IO guild pages! This was a significant milestone for us, and we're happy to finally have it online.
When designing the Guild Page we really wanted to start with the bare essentials, which was to reveal all the guild ranks that Raider.IO tracks. Here's a breakdown of how the page is laid out, and what you can do on it.
We'll use our own Guild's Page (Ludicrous Speed) as an example to walk through the feature:
https://raider.io/us/skullcrusher/Ludicrous%20Speed
1.) Guild progression across entire tier visible at a glance in the header
2.) Each raid's World / Region / Realm rankings visible together
3.) Per-boss World / Region / Realm rankings visible by clicking a row
There's also some more functionality we wanted to call out:
- You can click any of the ranks on a Guild Page to jump to that page in the appropriate leaderboard. This makes it easier to look at other guilds who are near your progression.
- We've added a convenient button in the sidebar to queue your guild for an update. After you down a new boss you can just visit your guild page and click that button for Raider.IO to get your newest progress.
--
We have a lot in store for interesting details to add to this page. This is just the very tip of the iceberg.
Thanks,
Ulsoga @ Raider.IO
P.S. We plan to further improve the mobile experience on the new guild pages in the coming weeks.

Two weeks of updates to share today!
March 22, 2017
- Fixed a bug that was redirecting the realm rankings to the US rankings on individual guild pages
- Reformatted the timestamps so they are easier to read
- The guilds are now sorted in the search and shouldn't shuffle around like they did previously. At the moment the algorithm is trying to show the most "relevant" guilds first, but this might need some tweaking.
- Searching for a realm now returns connected realm results as well
- ASCII characters are treated as regular characters in the search field. This means if you search for "Mirage" you'll also find a match for the guild "Mîragè"
March 27, 2017
- Rosters have now been added to the guild pages, for first kills only (we plan on expanding this). There are problems we are working through where alts are showing up multiple times on kills - hoping to fix that soon.
- Connected realms now pull up in the search
More to come soon, as always :D

Another Tuesday, another update!
April 4, 2017
- We have added resource links (example: relevant raid guides from wowhead and fatboss) to the sidebars on all rankings pages
- Speed improvements and bug fixes with our crawler
It's a small update this week but we think the back end stuff is worth prioritizing, even if it isn't as impressive to look at as a new shiny feature. :)
Until next week!

Time for our weekly update post! As always we are still looking for community feedback and suggestions, so we love to hear from you.
April 11, 2017
- Fixed bug where clicking Next/Prev on the rankings list would always scroll you back to the top of the page
- Fixed bug on guild page where the 'right chevron' that you click on didn't rotate to be a 'down chevron' after clicking it
- Added sidebar links to guild details page (latest raid links and general raiding links)
- Crawler performance updates: the crawler will now not re-crawl/process characters if they haven't been updated since the last time they were crawled
... and a lot of other behind-the-scenes work in preparation for a big update we have planned in the coming weeks.
Oh - and it appears that <set sail for fail> has moved out of the Battle.net black-hole that was Nethrazim, so the Raider.IO crawlers were able to begin tracking them. They've now claimed their proper place as World 12th for the Nighthold:

Update time! Our updates last week were fairly small so we decided to hold off on bumping the thread until today, so we could roll it all into one post.
April 18, 2017
- Implemented the back end changes necessary to begin scanning new types of content - not visible to the user on the front end but important work nonetheless!
- We also took some community suggestions under advisement and modified the next/prev buttons on the ranking pages even further. Hopefully much nicer to use now. :)
April 26, 2017
-
Character pages
: View various progression details about characters by clicking on their names from any of the roster views.
-

- Mythic+ leaderboards (see write-up below for how scoring works)
- Increased mobile support for the M+ pages
- FAQ updated and given a place in the top bar navigation
So today we have implemented our new Mythic+ leaderboards. After a fair amount of discussion within the community we came up with a scoring system that we think works pretty well.
Here are the details on how we currently score Mythic+ and our philosophy behind these decisions.:
1) A score is made up of two factors:
BaseValue
and
TimeBonus
.
2) The
BaseValue
is calculated as MYTHIC_LEVEL * 10. This means a +8 Mythic level is worth a base of 80 points. A +22 run is worth a base of 220 points, and so forth.
3) The
TimeBonus
is then added to this value to adjust for how fast (or long) it took for the run to be completed. This
TimeBonus
swings between the range:
A positive bonus is calculated directly from how long your run took vs. the dungeon's base timer:
MYTHIC_LEVEL * (1.0 - RUN_TIME_MS / DUNGEON_TIME_MS)Our philosophy here is that the higher the M+ level the
harder
it is to complete it within the timer, so we wanted to offer more reward for those that do.
Conversely, we felt a long that takes a long time over the dungeon's timer should have a way to "down rank" in value, which would allow a really fast run from the previous level to potentially surpass it. This downranking cannot occur at rankings where there are affix changes.
4) However,
TimeBonus
can go negative. As the run takes longer and longer over the dungeon's base time, we apply a linearly interpolated penalty based on the specific time. This penalty is capped at a max of 10 (a full "tier" of rankings) which is achieved if the run has gone over twice the base time for that dungeon.
Again, our thinking here is that we want to have the opportunity for runs to essentially "down rank" if they have exceeded the timer by too much, but we didn't want players to be penalized much for just barely missing the timer.
That's it for now :)

Weekly update time! We have lots of small changes on the user side, but some more significant stuff happening on the backend. There is a lot of priority going into updating our crawlers before ToS is released so that we can have more accurate heroic and normal mode rankings at the next tier.
May 5, 2017
Added various Mythic+ links to sidebar on pages with Mythic+ data
Added full resolution clear time to Mythic+ pages (showing milliseconds). This is on-hover on the rankings pages, and just listed out on an individual run's page.
By default realms that are part of a connected realm will link to the connected realm when clicked. The only exception here is on the Realms listing page where you can individually click a realm to see it's page directly.
Updated titles for all pages to represent what you are actually seeing on the page
Trailing slashes will be automatically removed from the end of character/guild URLs
Backend crawler speed improvements
Added 404 "Page Not Found" Page
That's it for now - more to come soon! :)

Hey all! We feel like we have a pretty good update for the Mythic+ Keystone crowd this week, and possibly an even better one next week (spoiler alert: m+ character rankings are on the way.) For now here is a list of the new changes we have pushed live to
raider.io
:
May 16, 2017
Created a M+ leaderboard that merges all of the instances. This still needs a small visual update to include a column for the dungeon names, but the information is there for users to browse.
Added the option to view the Mythic+ leaderboards in "strict" mode, which completely eliminates all runs that did not make the timer from the list.
Added the ability to filter runs by affixes. Previously if you viewed a M+ dungeon's leaderboard you'd see all of the runs compared against eachother. You can still view it this way (it is the default setting) but if you want to drill down deeper you have the option to do so. The filters can be applied to both the default and strict leaderboards.
We have updated tool tips in the "Run Time" column to show the amount of time a run went over or under the timer.
You can queue up a server's m+ leaderboard for a scan on our
queuing page
. This is particularly useful for players that complete a run at the end of the week, close to the time that Blizzard resets their leaderboard. It's the best way to guarantee we get your run in before it's inaccessible.
We have added better (less obtrusive) social media icons to the navigation bar.
The FAQ has been updated with a little more information
Fixed an issue where we weren't tracking M+ runs done by groups consisting of players entirely on Azjol-Nerub (sorry guys!)
Fixed issue where characters with blank names sometimes showing up in M+ runs.
Fixed issue with the dropdown navigation bars highlighting and staying highlighted in odd ways
Fixed a bug with modal errors using white text on a white background, making the error message invisible
Backend crawler performance optimizations
I think that is all of the updates for this week, but if I missed something I'll sneak back in here and update this post.
'Til next week!

We've been pretty active in this thread, keeping readers apprised of the Mythic Plus changes to
Raider.IO
and we've added a few more things this week that we are excited to share. Since our last update we also had a number of small tweaks and bug fixes, but we really want this post to highlight the new features and explain the functionality of the M+ portion of our site.
**
Mythic Plus Leaderboards
**
We have added a number of M+ leaderboards to the site to help players gauge their level of progression within this content. It's important to note that Blizzard does not provide an API for M+ and so all of our data is acquired by scraping Blizzard's weekly Top 100 realm leaderboards. These leaderboards can change regularly, and they are reset every week. This means once the data is gone we no longer have access to it. If you run a M+ run late in the week and worry about it not being scanned before the leaderboard reset, we recommend checking to see that your run displays on Blizzard's site, and then queuing the leaderboard for a forced scan on our site here:
https://raider.io/add
So what kind of leaderboards do we have and what do they mean?
**
Timed Runs Leaderboard
**
This is Raider.IO's default leaderboard, using an algorithm we've created (in conjunction with a good friend and math nerd - thanks Devilnaht!) to rank only runs that have met the timer requirements of the dungeons. Our scoring calculation provides an exponential increase in points as you push higher and higher keys (above M+10), and penalizes runs that go over a dungeon's par time. Our scoring system, was designed with two primary motivations in mind:
- We wanted to reward players for successfully running higher and higher keys, and we wanted the amount of this reward to increase exponentially — just like the difficulty of the dungeons themselves.
- We wanted to deter "score farming" abuse that we've seen elsewhere, where high level keys were repeatedly run while depleted, far over the timer, just to get additional ranking points.
We want players to push keys they can actually complete, and to strive for the best time they can, so we designed our system rewards for this. Here is a screenshot showing a sample of the Timed Leaderboard across all dungeons and affixes, worldwide. I've also included a sample on hover tool tip that displays some more in depth information about each run.
http://i.imgur.com/YiK4RkD.jpg
**
All Runs Leaderboard
**
This ranks runs exactly as Blizzard does on their standard leaderboards. This means, that the runs are ranked first by the Mythic+ level of the dungeon, then by how long it look for the run to be completed. This leaderboard allows you to see all runs, even if they have been depleted. Sample screenshot of this board, this time with a hover that displays a run that went beyond the dungeons timer.
http://i.imgur.com/Cvv41fe.jpg
**
Characters Leaderboard
**
This leaderboard ranks individual characters against one another, by tallying up all of their highest scoring runs from each dungeon. In this screenshot you can see the current Top 5 M+ players in the world (big shout out to
Meowchan
by the way, who has provided a lot of useful feedback via our
Discord
) channel.) This view also presents you with a list of all of the dungeons that are currently contributing to their score, shown on the right.
http://i.imgur.com/t1RSq2t.jpg
A character's Mythic+ score is calculated by summing their highest scoring run from each dungeon. Characters earn a score for each of their roles, and a score across all of their roles combined.
You can see an example of this in the image below:
http://i.imgur.com/uehOOMB.jpg
This character,
Combatcow
had individual role scores of 319.60 for Tank, and 935.54 for DPS. However, their combined Mythic+ score is 1061.32. This helps illustrate that the "All Roles" score is not just a sum of the scores you have for each role. Instead, what we do is take the highest scoring that you've done for each dungeon, regardless of your role and combine those to make your score.
**
Leaderboard Filters
**
Now that we have the basics of each leaderboard covered, we can drill down into how a player can adjust the data their viewing with a numbers of filters. Selecting the dungeon dropdown with either the All Runs or Timed Runs leaderboards can let you view a combination of all dungeons (this is the default) or allows the user to focus on one dungeon. You can get even more specific by choosing a certain set of affixes from the affix filter, and of course you can sort by region as well.
The Character board has it's only unique set of filters, that mainly allow someone to compare classes and roles against one another. Curious to see how you measure up against the other Resto Druids in the world? You can choose that option from the menu at see what the top healer druids are up to in M+.
http://i.imgur.com/H5htRiL.jpg
**
Character Page Filters
**
If you head over to an individual character's page (in this case we'll use
Cohumulone
- another shoutout for great feedback!) you can see we provide a list of all of their top runs by dungeon. In the future we plan on adding a way to look through ALL runs, but for now the table is limited to the "best". For clarification, "best" means either "highest scoring" when on the Timed Runs tab, or highest M+ level/time if "All Runs" is selected. You can use the various tabs on the table to specify which information you'd like to see. In this case we're looking at his highest scoring Tank runs (by clicking the Tank tab) and including depleted runs (by clicking the All Runs tab).
http://i.imgur.com/uY1jfD6.jpg
**
Character Page Rankings
**
On every character page we've put a brief summary of all of their ranks at the top of the Mythic Plus section. This includes their overall rank (across all roles) within the world, region, and realm as well as class specific ranks within the world, region, and realm.
http://i.imgur.com/ndyKdx0.jpg
I think maybe that's it! We look forward to hearing what you guys think and thanks for sticking with us while we continue to make Raider.IO something to be proud of :)

Update time! These fixes have actually been trickling out all week, rather than waiting until today to release them all at once. We regularly post in our
Discord channel
when new builds go live. Feel free to hop in and hang out with us.
May 30, 2017
ADDITIONS & CHANGES:
Added a Mythic+ 'Scored Runs' tab on character pages. This tab will show you the runs that are contributing to the player's score for the chosen role, and it is now the default filter when loading character pages.
Added the "Realms" dropdown to the Mythic+ tab. This lets you have a way to switch over to the Realm listing pages.
Some minor styling updates to the Characters Leaderboard page to make incomplete and depleted runs stand out a bit from timed runs.
API improvements: Added a few more fields that can be retrieved on players: mythic_plus_recent_runs for the 3 most recent M+ runs completed, and mythic_plus_best_runs for the 3 highest scoring runs, and split out mythic_plus_ranks for just the ranks and mythic_plus_scores for just the scores. The old mythic_plus field is still supported for backwards compatibility. We also made the character name case-insensitive. API can be found here.
You can browse Mythic+ per-realm (connected realm) leaderboards now! To get to a realm's leaderboard you can do one of two things on the site:
1) Click the realm name underneath a character listed on the Characters Leaderboard to filter to just that realm
2) Click the rank number for a character's realm on their page to be taken to the page where that character is ranked on their realm's leaderboard. (Pro tip: you can click rank numbers to be taken to the appropriate page of a leaderboard pretty much everywhere you see a rank on
Radier.IO
).
Once on a realm leaderboard you can continue to filter by classes and roles and you will remain on that realm's board.
Character names are now case insensitive when entered in the URL, so going to
https://raider.io/characters/us/skul
...r/Firstglobalx and
https://raider.io/characters/us/skul
...r/firstglobalx take you to the same character.
Search results are always returned in alphabetical order, grouped by type: Guilds > Characters > Realms.
Character searches can be further narrowed down by including terms that match the realm the character is on. This means you can type qt storm to find all the characters that match the term qt on realms matching storm (any matching guilds will also show). The format here is: <character search term> <optional realm search term>
Character results in the search results are now colored for their faction, and include their class icon.
Search now prioritizes exact matches to the top of the list, then partial matches. It still always orders them guilds, then characters, then realms.
Search will now filter out characters that have been confirmed as missing from the Battle.net API (server xfers, renames). The characters are still there, so if you knew the profile URL you could still visit them. If you manually queue a character like this it will still attempt to re-scan them, and if they are truly there again then they will start to show up in search once more. We'd love to hear some feedback from folks on how this new implementation of search feels as we know it's an important feature to get "right".
Added "First" and "Last" page navigation buttons to M+ Character Rankings pages. We're experimenting with how this feels before deciding to add it to the other leaderboards. Let us know your thoughts.
Added tooltips to "Timed Runs" / "Scored Runs" / "All Runs" tabs on character page
Added our guild's Gul'dan screenshot from a few months ago to replace our old Helya screenshot. We know y'all were just dying for this one.
Changed some styles on the M+ Run pages: The "Share" link becomes "Permalink" when on the page, is smaller in size, and uses a different icon.
Improved the formatting of the Character header at the top of the page. It should not look so broken on mobile now.
Experimenting with a different layout for tabular data on smaller devices. Rather than trying to display it side-by-side in columns, it's collapsing down into multiple rows.
FIXES:
Fixed a bug where runs with improved scores weren't updating character's score on the character leaderboards.
Fixed an issue with waist items not showing up. This was particularly noticeable for those that had a legendary belt, because they would always show up with only one legendary. This is fix is retroactive.
We fixed the issue preventing short character or guild names (less than 4 characters) from showing up in search and loading on the site, which is what necessitated the database maintenance. Thanks to Ben for being persistent in reporting this bug to us.
It was brought to our attention through a support request that our CoEN timer was not accurate. We've since updated it to the now current value (35:00 for 1 chest), and recalculated all the scores. End result: Everyone who has done CoEN should have had their points go up some amount. Anyone who had their highest scoring run run flagged as "over time", but under the 35:00 timer, will see a nice bump to their previous score. Thanks to Trubble for the report!
Fixed problem with the Next/Back button on Character Realm Ranking pages not keeping you on the realm you'd selected. Thanks for the bug report Nnogga!
Fixed the M+ Rankings table sometimes wrapping to two lines prematurely. Now it should mostly only go to two lines when on mobile.
Fixed a bug where the link to a Character's guild on their profile would point to the wrong realm if their guild was on a different realm (due to connected realms).
That's it for this week!

Hey all,
We've just released some new features on
raider.io
and wanted to share the updates with folks here:
NEW! Class population graphs on Keystone Run Leaderboards
This feature will allow you to see charts containing various class population breakdowns with many filtering options. For example:
http://i.imgur.com/i9yssmc.png
Example:
Unique Healer Class Population for M+ 10-14 across All Dungeons with Bolstering, Grievous, Tyrannical affixes
You can view the charts either by Unique Class Population, which basically means to count a character only once, even if they show up in multiple runs. i.e. "How many players are running M+ for each class?" Or you can view it by Class Frequency By Run, which will count a character every time they appear in a run. i.e. "How likely am I to see a character of this class/role if I look at a random M+ group matching my other filters?"
You can also filter by:
- Timed vs Non-timed runs (just change the leaderboard you are viewing)
- Specific Dungeon or All Dungeons (just change the leaderboard you are viewing)
- Specific Affix or All Affixes (just change the leaderboard you are viewing)
- Mythic+ Level Range (show stats from certain M+ ranges)
- Character Role (show only specific roles, or all roles combined)
We also added the ability for you to export a graph to share. Just click the "Menu" button on the top right of the plot and choose which format you'd like to save.
Note: We refresh this data every 24 hours.
Other changes since our last post:
- Fixed a bug that could cause your character's score to not update after completing a run that was better than your previous best. (Thanks Trubble and Meowchan from our
Discord
)
- Added
Teeming, Necrotic, Tyrannical affix
to filters (Thanks Zino from our
Discord
)
- Added
Bolstering, Explosive, Tyrannical affix
to filters
- Mythic+ Run/Character leaderboard pages now include a faction icon for the Group/Character.
- All leaderboards now highlight the hovered row in a color subtly corresponding to the group/player's faction.
- All leaderboard ranking pages (Mythic+ Runs/Characters, Raids, Bosses) now have a first/last button to make it easier to jump through the ranks.
- Added formatter to all numbers (e.g. ranks) that will now comma separate them to represent thousands. (We'll localize all this for non-US eventually!)
- Updated our FAQ page to include anchors on each question, so entries
can be directly linked to
.

With the release of 7.2.5, we wanted to be sure to have player's scores reset back to zero, and start accumulating fresh again. You can now see throughout the site places where you can change the active season. Also, when on a character profile page we will include a highlight for their previous season's Mythic+ score if they had one.
We've partnered with the great guys at the
Mythic Plus Friends Discord
to power some of their channels with special Raider.IO integrations. Now, over on Mythic Plus Friends, you'll get alerted whenever the new weekly affixes are confirmed. Additionally, you'll be alerted for new record breaking runs are made in each dungeon for 7.2.5 (these must be at least a +15 M). We will have these webhooks available for everyone else to use some time next week.
Mythic+ scoring balance adjustment. After lots of feedback and reviewing our data we've decided to make a change to part of our scoring algorithm to lessen the penalty on overtime runs. The specific change we made was to reduce the immediate penalty a run is given when it goes over time. Previously, the run would lose 2 "mythic level" worth of points, but we've reduced this to 1 now. The decay over time when beyond the timer is just as it had been, so if your run goes over you'll still notice the points dropping at a steady clip. The overall effect of this is that overtime runs will be worth on average about 10% more than their previous value. These scoring changes should be fully reflected in the leaderboards later tonight June 9th.
Removed Emerald Nightmare & Trial of Valor Heroic/Normal rankings. Mythic rankings for these two raids will still exist. These two raids occurred before Raider.IO launched, so we never had the opportunity to scan them while they were current. This meant that our kill timestamps for normal and heroic were always going to be wrong. We still show the progress summary for these raids (e.g. 7/7 H), but we no longer show the detailed timestamps or group compositions for these raids & difficulties.
Significant performance improvements to Hall of Fame page load times
Improvements to our deployment process to allow us to deploy new updates without the site going briefly inaccessible
Added sample size to the bottom of Mythic+ leaderboard charts to provide a basis for the shown percentages
Added "Highlights" to the Character's Page header. These are three "top stats" about the character's progress. Typically this will be their Mythic+ Score and their highest progression from the most recent raids. Since this is visible at the top of the page, you can pretty easily check a player's score by just searching for them and glancing at the header (no need for scrolling).
Added tooltips to the Raid Progress timeline to help express its meaning a bit better. You can see these by hovering a guild or the "# More" text
More elegantly format guild pages if a guild has no raid progression. Thanks Ben for the report.
Misc mobile formatting improvements, primarily to the header of guild pages
Added Public APIs for looking up guild information and for retrieving the latest affixes for a given region. Additionally, we updated lots of the documentation on our API.
Searching for an exact realm name now shows it as first in the results. Thanks Cohumulone.
Stopped showing decimal places on player scores in a run roster. You can still see the more precise score on each individual player's profile.
Changed title of main tab for Mythic+ > Mythic Plus
Fixed problem with the dropdown menu bar often appearing on top of everything else (even the search window). Thanks for all who reported this issue.
Fixed problem where when an error occurs the modal will appear partially under the rest of the page.

Heya folks! We have an update today in preparation for Tomb of Sargeras. Later this afternoon we will write up a more thorough post of our feature additions and bug fixes over the past week, but for now I just wanted to direct everyone to

Big update! This is a combination of two weeks worth of patch notes, since I didn't post a full list last week. :)

Fixed timer for Return to Karazhan: Upper. We had this marked as 39 minute par time, but it's actually be 35 minutes par time. End result: Everyone who has run UPPR ended up with a slightly higher score. Thanks person who left this report in our contact form.
Made it so in the site search you can type a term and then just hit enter to be taken to that first match. Thanks, Cistara.
Made item level fields show by default as Equipped Item Level, with a tooltip for "In Bags" Item Level. This applies to M+ runs and raids. Thanks, Emangle.
Fixed bug with exported class balance graphs not showing class icons
Tomb of Sargeras support! (y'all probably know this already)
As mentioned in my previous post - Discord Alerts! We added a way to register for custom alerts to go straight from our servers to your Discord. This includes things like: Mythic World First Race, Weekly Mythic+ Affixes, and so forth. If you haven't seen it yet, check out:
https://raider.io/discord
Lots of backend work in our crawlers to ensure it's finding as many guilds as possible.
Fixed the Hall of Fame page showing guilds out of order (Thanks, Ben)
Fixed a typo on the Discord Success page (Thanks to the person who mailed in!)
Fixed a problem where you couldn't load certain profile pages for guilds that still have some internal data related to when we (briefly) tracked LFR kills.
We also now automatically will enqueue a character or guild requested in the API if it has been too long since they were last queued. Currently this is a 6 hour window, but we will likely adjust this as we observe usage.
Added commas to formatting of numbers on Hall of Fame page
Added metrics tracking to many parts of our internal systems so we can understand how things are performing and being used
Raid Compositions now show a snapshot of the user's most current: Legendaries, Trinkets, Tier 19, and Tier 20 gear.
Mythic Plus run rosters now show Tier 19 / Tier 20 items in separate columns.
Fixed a bug where users couldn't search for realms with dashes or apostrophes in the name.
Webhook info and link to our Discord channel consolidated into one item on the menu.
Site's default page has been officially swapped to Tomb of Sargeras Mythic.
Additions to Public API:
See this page
for more details.
New optional character field raid_progression to pull the summary of this character's raid progress
New optional character field previous_mythic_plus_scores and previous_mythic_plus_ranks that returns data from the previous season for that player
New optional character field gear that returns high level information on player's gear (equipped/total item level and artifact traits)
New data on base character payload: achievement_points, honorable_kills, active_spec_name, active_spec_role
mythic_plus_highest_level_runs: retrieve the player's three highest Mythic+ runs by Mythic+ level (current season only)
mythic_plus_weekly_highest_level_runs: retrieve the player's three highest Mythic+ runs by Mythic+ level for the current raid week (current season only)
Tomorrow is a big day - excited to see which guild comes out on top in ToS! If any of you have feedback regarding our webhooks, we'd love to hear it so that we can make changes as needed. Just hop in our
Discord channel
and let us know what's on your mind!

Hey all! The holiday weekend pushed back my update post a little bit but we still have a number of changes to tell you about. :)
July 6, 2017
API: We fixed a performance issue with the mythic_plus_highest_level_runs character field. Thanks @Bart for bringing this to our attention.
Discord Alerts: Replaced the "Guild Profile" link on Raid alerts to be just the guild's name. This allows you to see the guild name on the alert while on mobile devices.
Fixed a bug in the crawlers where artifact traits would not be detected properly for characters whose artifact was actually their offhand (such as Protection Paladins/Warriors, Demo Locks, etc.). This can't retroactively fix the values, but will store the value for all runs from now on. Thanks @Deadlystrike for pointing this out
Fixed a bug that sent out world first alerts for non-mythic guilds. (Congrats to Empyrean and Honored Exiles for their kills though!)
Discord Alerts:
Changed "Mythic Raiding World Firsts" alert to include Region options, so you can monitor the race across all regions, or for specific regions. You can also choose how many first-kills of each boss to be alerted for.
Added "Mythic Raiding Realm Firsts" alert to watch the progression race on just a single realm (and the realms it is connected to). You can also choose how many first-kills of each boss to be alerted for.
Added an optional "detailed" format for the "Mythic Plus Weekly Affixes" alert. This detailed view will also emit the descriptions of each affix.
Added an optional "simple" format for the "Mythic Plus Record Breakers" alert. This simple view will omit the group roster from the alert.
Miscellaneous tweaks to Discord alert formatting.
API Updates:
Added some docs to API explaining how to format the raid parameters, also made it so raid parmater can take the full name of raid and not just slug (e.g. both Tomb of Sargeras and tomb-of-sargeras will work)(edited)
