The Ice trolls in Zul'Drak are pretty eager to drop cloth, up to 4 pieces a mob.
are you a tailor saying this or a non-tailor? with the new extra drops for tailors im wondering if the drops will be more then what you are seeing

In instances, with non tailors.
Since the Northrend Cloth Scavenger ability only works on other people's mobs (not too sure, not seen more than 4cloth on a mob solo) getting the chance for ~7 extra cloth on 4/5 mobs is nice. Plus the added bonus of rep and emblems if you decide to go heroic.

Seriously, leonheart87 is right on the money with his comment. I often walk away with 2-3 stacks of frostweave cloth in a 5 man run with no other tailors. After a party member loots a mob I will then see it sparkle again and can then loot extra cloth from it. On mobs that are flagged as lootable by me I often find cloth in addition to the regular loot (silver/vendor trash/BoE greens).

I just farmed 21 stacks there in an hour (420 cloth) and I was only doing single pulls, not the double that Nurril was, and I was chatting in guild, so not focussed farming.

For one, he was saying its impossible to do 500 cloth in less then an hour. You got 420 cloth in an hour. To me it would seem he is/was right.
Second, this topic is over 2 years old. I'm sure drop rates have changed a little in the 2 years since then.

I did as the frostweave cloth comments suggested and farmed fallen/converted heroes in icecrown. I did it on my 85 hunter with Multishot, and was pretty easy. The part that took the longest was looting all the dead bodies.
