This recipe is a fairly common drop off the Satyrs in Jadefire Run in Felwood. In a typical felcloth farming run it's not uncommon to encounter several of these recipes.

The Legashi Satyrs in Azshara also drop them quite often. In the process of farming felcloth there I personally encountered 3 drops of this pattern within 5 minutes of one another.
This pattern, though common as it is, is a great item to have for any alchemist. Mostly due to the fact that the pattern itself costs less than the items it produces will sell for (on most servers), and is greatly sought after.

I must have really bad luck when it comes to farming. I farmed these guys in Felwood hoping that I wouldnt have to pay for the recipe in the AH for 35 gold. Was here for about an hour or two with no luck and only 6 felcloth. Went to Azshara and had it within 10 minutes. The mobs are spead out and easier to farm since there are more

I'd suggest Azshara over Felwood. I got this recipe on the fifth kill. It's a great place to farm. Plus, it's remote so little to no disturbances.

Took me 53 Mins of farming in Azshara... got three Greens, 5 Fel Cloth, and 9 Demonic Runes before the recipe droped... I was running from South most camp to East Camp every 4 mins...

I just wanted to get it because i have an excess amount of herbs chillin' in my alt bank and this was one of the best recipes i can find to use em on.

I massacred the hell out of the Satyrs in Felwood and no luck. My conclusion is that they removed the recipe after Cata.. Sucks because I started using these on my Feral Druid and for some reason it's the only damn recipe I don't have on my mage :(

On 29/3/2011, a GM confirmed me that the recipe is still in-game, however "it is very rare, and it might be a while before you obtain it."

Cata greatly changed the landscape of old world drops. Some like the devaite delights got a break and are much more common and cheap, but the greater portion of items affected got the same treatment as this one - super common before and now very rare.

I would suggest picking this up instantly if you saw it under 1000 gold. Your server might have a few sellers that had some in the bank but those will eventually dry up.

I can confirm as of 01/21/2013 a GM assured me that it still drops in game. Will update upon drop.

This particluar formula is not in the game; it used to drop out of the rogues in Azshara. But with Cataclysm, their level got reduced and the loot table got wiped off completely.

You can still probably find some on the AH

On 08/03/2013 a GM told me this recipe is no longer a drop and is unobtainable. He told me the only way to learn this recipe is if someone has an old one in their inventory and puts it on the AH. He said the removal of this recipe was an accident during the development for the Cataclysm expansion. He said that if enough people submit suggestions requesting the recipe to be added back into the game, then they would make it obtainable again.

Remember that WoWhead and its database on previous expansion items is extremely extremely outdated, whether you believe it or not. This item is not associated with any NPC/Mob/Boss/Quest/Etc 's loot table anymore, but has not been reflected in WoWheads database as "no longer available".

Put 2 and 2 together, ur only gunna find it on the AH from here in out.

Another example of this, is many MANY of the extremely rare or no longer available items in the game which sell upwards of 10k to 50k or more only any server can be searched from the wowhead search engine using "available to players = no" and "average buyout > X" where X is any amount of gold. Searching for weapons above 3.5k yields only a handful of results, as its been years since those items were updated.

I just received a reply from a WoW Game Master who confirmed that the recipe still drops. They said; "The drop rate is pretty low, but not as low as some of the rarer raid mounts".

The good news is the Jadefire Rogues (who drop the recipe) and the Jadefire Shadowstalkers in Felwood's Ruins of Constellas (39:68) will most likely have respawned by the time you complete your circuit of the small but highly populated area.

I highly recommend using a Findle's Loot-A-Rang for more efficient looting.

The price on the AH is so freaking High for that recipe. Not much players farming it in Felwood and geez did farmed 5hrs everyday off from Satyrs then no drop luck. It need raise drop % a bit, because my rogue need it during slow lvling and collect all old Alch's recipes.

Go see The Undermine Jorunal and it showed too high price!
Imo...f--k it and bet it's greedy player selled that high almost hit 300k golds.

This recipe does not drop anymore, the only way to get it is by buying it from someone on the AH/trade. As of right now they usually go for over 400k gold.

These are now dropping again as of 10.1.7. I acquired 2 of them within 5 minutes of farming Jadefire Rogue in Felwood and Legashi Rogue in Azshara.

As of patch 10.1.7, I will confirm this CAN drop again! I just killed a Lagashi Rogue in Azshara, at the Lagash Encampment. Took me less than 30 minutes for me to farm it. There will come a point where they may slow down spawning. Go south and and try killing some Cliff Crasher's and see if they'll drop Pattern: Blue Dragonscale Shoulders. I made one circle and got one to drop. Don't give up, you can get this if you're persistant enough.
