You may need to re-log for the game to let you use this mount.

Also, it appears to be limited to characters that have completed the quest Rhapsody in Blue and thus who have earned Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest. Alas, but yay for freeing up an inventory spot!

I did the Blue Dragonflight quest chain on my main hunter, but did not seem to be offered the following chain to claim this item, even if I did get the staff on a druid many years ago. I suppose I'll have to level them, open the quest chain and then do the follow up.

Once you have completed the storyline, you will find two additional quests available from Kalecgos - these will only appear if you have the staff on that character.

They are called "Forget Her Not" and "Love Unending". Finish these and hand them in and you'll get the last quest called "Rhapsody in Blue". This quest will reward you with the Lingering Echo of Tarecgosa.

I do not have the mount after i activated it.
i tried to re-log and logged out from the app.
still nothing. cant even search for it.
waiting for an update to get it in the mount list. :)

EDIT:
The mount is now in the mount list! And i can use it. WOHO!

Has anyone had success in using this mount as part of a macro? It's as if the game doesn't recognise it, either by name or direct spell ID.

Crazy to think this is only the 2nd legendary mount since Vanilla WoW. Not counting Peep's whistle of course.

It was nice that blizzard finally given us away to use this as a mount instead of weapon swapping all the time, kind of shocked that they even did this when its been so long that this mount has been in the game, only thing I wish they would do is go back and texture update a lot of mounts, gear and weapons to make them more updated into today's era. cata and below stuff kind of needs work but non the less this mount is finally after so many years is on my hotbar.

Real happy it's a collectable mount now, now I can finally bank the staff for good! However, I do wish that the completion for this quest also unlocks ability to use the mount for the classes that can get the staff, it's unnecessarily time consuming for alts.

Until blizzard fixes this, the only way I have managed to use this mount in macro is like this.
/run C_MountJournal.SummonByID(1727)
If you want to have dragonriding mount in the same macro, this should do the trick.

I obtained this on my mage main earlier in the week. I logged my Warlock alt and tried mounting this but it says "You must complete the quest "Rhapsody in Blue" to use this mount" This is most likely a bug... so it seems for the time being, you need to complete the questline on every char which you would like to use the mount on.

So many people referring to "the staff" like we all know what the hell they're talking about. What is this staff and how the hell do I get it? Why isn't there a comment addressing this already?

A little warning. This isnt a Dragonflight mount, but a normal mount for the PRE DF world like Swift Blue Gryphon . I also didnt find a skin like Renewed Proto-Drake: Embodiment of the Storm-Eater .I did this quest with my mage, because she already had the legendary staff since forever, but if you plan to get this mount with every toon thinking you can use it for dragonriding: too bad. At least for now they didnt implement it working that way.

Can someone please confirm if I can finish Blue draonflight questline on one character and obtain the legendary on another and still get the mount or do I have to finish the questline on the character who has the staff?

Has anyone experienced a case where you completed the quest, learned the mount but even after relogging and several days the mount is not in their collections? I cannot find or use the mount at all

In case you are thinking about leveling a character with the staff to get this mount:

You can accept the intial breadcrumb quest Keeper of the Ossuary as soon as you hit level 70 from Kalecgos in Valdrakken.

Interestingly fact is that this is only the second Legendary quality mount to be added to the game. The first being the Legendary Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal.
Also of note is it doesn't show up in your mount log until you actually have it. You may need to relog for it show up even after you get it.

If you were like me and had no idea where to start, but you know that you've done the prequests and have the legendairy staff - head to 39 63 @ The Azure Span (zone in Dragon Isles) and speak to Kalecos. He should have two quests ready for you. Do them and voila.

Does anyone know if you can boost the character that has the legendary and still be able to complete the quests to get this mount? My druid has not been played for years, at level 51. I heard in another post that the enhanced character boost, bypasses some quests and you can't go back to do the campaigns, and if that's the case, I'm worried the required quests for the breadcrumb, won't be available.

Very oddly for me typing Terec in the search does not bring up this mount, but typing Visa does. Hope this helps.

For those with multiple characters with the staff, you will have to complete the questline on each character before you can use, and yes you will get a (now useless) mount again.

Blizz, just how incompetent are you? I did the quests, I got the staff, but I can't use the mount on any character? It says ACCOUNT LEVEL MOUNT. Do you not understand your own rules?

It's stupid that I will never use this mount because it was done on an alt that I literally only made to get the staff in the first place, and a warlock, no less. Not quite the type of mount I see a warlock riding. I didn't have another character that could do the stupid staff quests, so I made one up specifically for that so I could get it loooong before there was talk of making it a mount.

Now I can't even use it because that alt isn't even mule to run dungeons or farm transmogs. I only keep it around for extra bag space and learning transmogs for cloth if I need to. Stop treating our alts like they don't exist, it's your own mechanics that force us to have alts in the first place.

It's 2024, it's time you start acting like it.

The mount is not account wide apparently, unless it's a bug and they will fix it.
But for now don't trust this ''Acount-Wide'' BS

Unlocked the mount on my Warlock, could not use it on my Warrior.
So like i said, bugged or lies.

It did go into my collections on simplearmory for my warrior, but i cannot use it ingame.
Now i feel like an idiot who has wasted so many hours of my life for something i cannot even use, as my warlock is a character i never use lol.
