The plain version of this artifact counts towards the following three achievements:

The Broken Hearted
Collector: Gold-Inlaid Porcelain Funerary Figurines - restoring five of these
Collector: Gold-Inlaid Porcelain Funerary Figurines - after earning the achievement above, you move on to restoring TWENTY of these (the joy!)

Occasionally while working towards finishing the common Pandaren artifacts, you actually end up completing a 'Pristine' version of the artifact instead. Hand in the subsequent quest at the Seat of Knowledge in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms (there is nothing else that needs to be done) and you'll receive one Pandaren Pottery Shard and 3x Restored Artifact (which is an archaeological currency for MoP).

The location 'The Seat of Knowledge' for all hand-ins to Lorewalker Cho is above the Mogu'shan Palace in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and can only be accessed with flying.

Description of this item:

"Commissioned at the time of the death of a loved one, figurines such as this one help the grieved overcome their loss. This statuette depicts a beautiful young Pandaren Lorewalker named Lin. The inscription indicated that she succumbed to a terrible fever that swept through the Valley of the Four Winds during the short reign of the Hozen Emperor Rikktik."
