I was most excited to get Benediction.
Getting Ashes of Al'ar on my third Kael'thas kill was pretty sweet. Happened just a few days ago, too.
getting my first drake.
For me it was getting my Violet Proto-Drake. Such a pain doing all of the holidays!
The first time I killed Illidan Stormrage in TBC. it was the last try of the evening, and it was really getting late!anyhow my guildmaster was still just a char ingame with a voice on ventrilo, so he promised to post a picture of his face on our forums if we maneged to kill Illidan. So we did, alliance first, server first. And me and my guildies got the proof of our GM being a human! That was a VERY exciting moment for me!
Most excited thing to earn in-game? well, i have a story to tell about the Hand of Ragnaros.During the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, a friend of mine and i took on the challange to go through and defeat all of the minions of Ragnaros, and the great elemental lord himself. Seeing as how we were a feral tanking druid and a rogue, it was kinda a long shot in the beginning, with many wipes, snarky comments, and laughter at our own stupidity. But after a few weeks we got the routine down on how to handle certain bosses and talking to older guild members on certain strats (like handling Baron's explosive falling-damage-to-death debuff) we farmed all the way to exalted with the waterlords and then-some. During these months of grinding, I had been collecting the sulfuron ingots that dropped from Golemagg patiently gathering the other crafting requirement drops, and leveling my DK's blacksmithing and Darkiron dwarves rep for the hammer recipe. My friend the rogue was also gathering the Bindings of the Windseeker, which i can admit required a lot of runs to get the second one off Baron, i still remember that amount of nagging i had to do to get him off his butt to raid with me that night, always makes me smile. When my friend had gotten all the mats for his T-fury, and i had all the ingots and cores, the eye finally drops from Rag, but im still missing like 5 blood of the mountains, the stupid molten destroyers wouldn't freaking drop them EVER. SO next week my friend had the brilliant idea that we shouldn't kill any bosses, but instead just stealth in, assassinate all the destroyers, and farm bloods, then run out an reset the instance so the giants respawn. It worked and i was able to forge my Hand of Rag finally. My friend graciously waited to finish his T-fury questline until i was also done, and we equipped them together on new years day/night on 12/31/09-1/1/10. proudest feat of strength i have. This little side tracked adventure in the whole grans scheme of Wrath of the Lich King's gaming was not significant for progression or earning better gear, but it solidified a bond of friendship between myself and my rouge friend that still stands strong today. He may live 3 hours in the future and several hundreds of miles away, but i have few friends who i trust as much and who know me as well as him. That bond the thing i am most proud to have earned in game ................ though the shiny Orange hammer with Giant's slaying enchant is a nice perk too =p (molten destroyers beware!)
Finally finding and taming skoll on my hunter. I was so excited.
Got a girlfriend. Derp.
making friends for life.
Biggest accomplishment in World of Warcraft for me must've been hitting level 60 and learning 100% riding skill. My friend borrowed me gold to learn 100% riding, yet I didn't have any epic mounts except Frostwolf Howler. I still ride it today and it's one of my biggest accomplisments.
One day. One day Al'ar will be mine. That will be my favorite.
