The trial of Chi-Ji is a test of hope. Uncertain of the future of his people, Emperor Shaohao sought out the great Red Crane. The Great Crane challenged Shaohao to find the hope within himself, and cast off his uncertainty. Once the Sha of Doubt was vanquished, the Emperor became a beacon of hope for his people. To pass the trial of the Crane, warriors must believe in hope, even in the darkest of days.
The trial of Yu'lon is a test of wisdom and faith. With omens of a bleak future floating through his mind, Emperor Shaohao climbed to the summit of Mount Neverest to seek the council of the Jade Serpent. Yu'lon urged Shaohao to cast off the dark emotions that plagued him, and through his trials, Emperor Shaohao would become one with the land. To pass the trial of the Serpent, warriors must be wise in their choices.
The trial of Niuzao is a test of bravery and fortitude. When Emperor Shaohao was overcome with fear, the Black Ox counseled him to face his fears directly. After a protracted battle with the Sha of Fear, the Emperor emerged victorious. To pass the trial of the Ox, warriors must be resolute in the face of overwhelming danger.
The trial of Xuen is simultaneously a test of strength and a test of restraint. When Xuen gave Emperor Shaohao a 10-foot-pole and asked him to strike one of Xuen's warriors, the Emperor could not land a blow. For without restraint, anger and hatred run wild. To pass the trial of the Tiger, warriors must harness their power, while burying their thoughts of violence.
Ordos was once a shaman of the Yaungol who sacrificed himself to the flame, following the promises of the Fire Lords, in order to become a demigod. His flesh is eternally seared with fires, putting him in endless agony. Yaungol Fire-Keepers ritualistically set themselves ablaze to emulate the ascension of Ordos, and cast enchantments and prayers to ease his pain.
We're getting to kill a huge black (proto-)dragon (alongside Azeroth's Mightiest Heroes), the Klaxxi, and Garrosh in the same raid. We're getting the Proving Grounds, the most exciting thing Blizzard has introduced this expansion. We're getting candy-colored Gorehowl and shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~ny gear end tier. Monks become 20% cooler. The Timeless Isle is the awesome-flavored icing on the win cake. :DThe more patch notes come out, the more I can't waaaaaaaaaaait for this patch!
A Timeless Question Why wasnt a epic quest like this implented into the game earlier *sad face*.Also I can buy this amazing Chi-ji looking pet (Chi-Chi) <3, yup fell in love with wow again.
Anyone knows if the celestial world bosses are going to yield loot? Or are they only for the legendary questline?
You all seriously prefer sitting around waiting for rares to spawn and grinding out 1000s of coins over daily quests? Just a heads up, this is the kind of grindy stuff other MMOs implement so you buy stuff from the cash shop. Heck Timeless Plate Armor Cache is already basically a SWTOR Cartel Market Item Pack. They'll be selling Timeless Coins in the cash shop by Christmas and you all will probably be thanking them.

Maybe I am missing it, but isn´t the ´progression´ for this basically the same as Barrens. You are going to use your main to grind gear to send to your alts while there is nothing here for your mains if you are currently doing LFR. Most people doing LFR right now probably have 502 from drops and 522 from SPA...While there seems to be a lot of interesting things to do.. wander around the island looking for chests and rare spawns.. the rewards are all for alts.. and to be honest, at this point, I am just happy to be getting my alts to 90. Who cares what gear they have, next expansion is coming soon enough not to worry about it.Just not sure I understand why they have now done this two patches in a row.. no progression for mains besides LFR. You do LFR on your main, and do the ´content´for gear for your alts. And considering that LFR gear for SoO is about the same as SPA gear.. our mains have basically been ´done´ for about 3 months already unless you raid... in other words.. my ilvl right now on my main is not going to go up much from June until the next expansion.I can understand Barrens being the ´gear up your alts using your main´ patch. but no idea why they are doing it again. The rewards from this stuff should be progress for non-raiders.
Don't forget it'll probably be even more crowded- Virtual Realms will merge some servers together.
Yet another isle chock-full with secrets. And Wrathion pays it a visit. And a lore question! I'll be visiting this place; that's a definite answer.
