oh comon, we all know they could have named it Energy too... it's called Focus instead just to make them feel special
By the sounds of things the features they decided to take out will make the gamer better overall looking at their reasoning, the path of the titans seems asif it would be yet another annoying stat builder that would need gold spent on and the guild talents would simply cause hastle in the guild. But the rest of it sounds awesome and i'm really, really looking forward to all the new raids and quests. Also pleased about how heirlooms can't be used over 85, they should simply be used for rapidly leveling alts through tedious quests you've done before, not blasting through new content that alot of time and effort has been put into simply to brag to friends or something.
what do i need so i can buy cata heirlooms? if anyone knows.:D
Scrapping path of the titans highly disillusioned a lot of players, including me.What I want to see is:-MORE LVL 85 RAID CONTENT. Wotlks starting high-end content was retarded and it lost all enjoyability after a month or two. By the time 3.1 came out we should've gotten the second or third content pack, for &*!@'s sake.-Heirloom (80) items should be upgradable for a small price to heirloom (85) items-Alchemy. Alchemy in wotlk was neglected, they might've just removed it from the game altogether or made it a minor profession, like cooking. The starting blue trinkets were nice for farming heroics until you got your first trinky from Naxx. The flask bonus is not bad.. Except... YOU HAVE TO CONSUME A FLASK IF YOU WANT IT TO BE ACTIVE, while other professions' bonuses are more potent and permanent and passive.Also.. your e-peen GS doesn't go up which will lead to ingame social discrimination and ultimately real life suicide.
2bh im happy they decided to remove path of the titans if it means giving more to inscription. (is this really the case? why cant we have both?) I dont know that making the glyphs permanent is a way to boost inscription's usefulness. Past the 'greatness trinket' there really wasnt much the profession had going for it at max level. The AH market is flooded with glyphs and the shoulder enchants werent that special since they changed the sons of hodir enchants to BOA.ofcourse this has no real relevance as everything will change at 85. I just hope they dont make the same mistakes.Unsure about the removal of the guild talent trees news. If this equates to all guilds getting all talents at lv25 then it cant be that bad, but i enjoy the options I get to make in wow. What I would have liked to see was a choice for the guild each level of what talent (or skill) they could purchase but still allow a guild at max level to have all the talents. It gives us choice along the way but removes the need for respecs or having a 'best' guild talent tree. Saying that it would be difficult because of who would choose the talents or who would pay for them is a cop out. Most guilds (I assume) have a chain of command and are able to make decisions. I dont see how this would be different. Why cant the guild pay for these talents/respecs with gold from the guild bank?On a more positive note im pleased to hear about the changes for 10/25 player raiding. I prefer raiding in a 25 player environment (bring back 40 man raids!) and always feel like im missing out on potential if i dont also raid 10mans each week. I hope im understanding this correct by that i can miss one night of raiding , go out pug the bosses i missed then resume raiding with my guild in the same week as long as i dont kill more bosses than my previous raid ID.Im also glad to hear they are updating the guild UI system. Will the changes be enough for a guild not to be forced into using an external website?EDIT: hurr grammar
Aww... I was really looking forward to Path of the Titans, which I thought of as a secondary-class system. There go my hopes of being a DK that can heal like a pally :PArchaeology sounds really interesting, I can't wait to see what cool gimmicks its going to have. Gimmicks like in engineering and useless items (furbolg form, arrokoa form, noggenfogger, etc.) are my favorite part of WoW.
