Have everyone in Que fight to the death to get to the front of the Que!
still no flying, though ive come to realise, even when i get it, whats the point, there is no content, that takes flying into account, and apparently there never will be again. it will just be released at the end of every expansion, with no purpose really.they have also stated they like how timeless isle played out as end content, and how tanaan also, what they dont seem to realise, making 1 zone, that basically invalidates any reason to go back to all the other zones of the expansion is very very boring to play.why cant, we have new quests that send us all over the old zones using flying mounts, instead of sticking us to the ground in 1 zone, for what is going to be at least 6 months or somethingi really done see, why when a new expansion comes out, all the content, has to be in the new zones, they have phasing etc, it would have been cool, if the iron horde had got thru the portal, and we had to stop them on azeroth quests sending us to get reinforcments etc, go to ironforge, inform the dwarves whats going on, stuff like that, sorry just rambling, im sad with the way this is all going.
Man, wowhead users are whiny babies. WoD wasn't a failure at all. It certainly wasn't their best expac, and probably one of the worst, but considering all the others are amazing that's not really saying anything. Many people, myself included, really liked WoD, and although there are things that could be improved I wish there was going to be another tier of content.
I really wish flying wasn't taking so long. There are so many things I'm holding back on in Draenor because, without flying, they're just too much of an annoyance. I think many of us got our achievements quickly in the hopes we could fly soon. I find myself going back to a lot of old content because I dread anything that involves travelling around in Draenor at this point.I would like to add that I fully agree with working for flying by finishing the various zones' quests (in the initial release of an expansion). Flying at max level is too easy but if we are required to finish questing in every new zone, that would make sense. Waiting until another patch is a mistake.I'm happy that we're finally getting flying but it's quite frustrating waiting so long for it.As for those who are pro-no-flying: No, I'm not going to say, "Then don't fly." But I do think you need to realise that once the zones have been explored on a ground mount, the novelty wears off really quickly. Flying around doesn't mean you will not be able to appreciate the work of the artists and designers. It just means you will gain a new appreciation by seeing the content from a different perspective.
In any raid group (or say running around Org), how many paladins are there? And how many of a particular spec? How many of those are going to have the exact same artifact model? Colour of that model? Not very many I expect.Am I excited for Legion? You bet. I've been playing for 2.5 years now. Can't wait to see what they do with questing/story/lore. I'm betting it will be epic.I don't care about the X millions who left, really. That's their choice.I'm still here and still playing.
We have played since beta and have not enjoyed the last two expansions. Drip feeding content over months and months is tiresome and unnecessary. An expansion should be released in full from day one and should not be released until it’s been finished i.e. play tested, balanced and bug’s removed. You wouldn’t buy anything else by paying full price up front months in advance and then receive that item in kit form for the next year. Wow has turned into one of those magazine subscriptions where you buy some kind of self-assembly model that takes years to accumulate all the parts and end up with an inferior crappy item at the end of it all.WOD was just a rehashed map with some fel fire added. The weapon and armor drops graphically have been poor to say the least. You have a dagger or sword drop in Blackrock Foundry and a quick look in dressing room and yup it’s a grey or brown mess that needs transmogged with something from pre MoP. There has been the odd exception like Char’s Fist, which does not even drop in an instance.People want to show off their latest awesome drop or PvP gear purchase not dash to the bank and transmog ASAP.Trade skills are all messed up. Why restrict players to three manufactured items and bring back the benefits from having specific professions. Stop merging servers in real time, by all means for Dungeon/Raid finder and PVP. I have moved server many times to get away from over population. I currently play on Terokkar and now Blizzard have merged us with Darkspear and Saurfang. Time to move again or just stop playing, fed up competing with gaggles of players to get dailies done.Flying, well you guys brought it in and it was awesome and it cannot be removed. I like so many others farming day and night for months to get various reps to get flying mounts and then you decide to remove it. When you hit the level cap, you can fly and that’s that. You want to experience the content and the rehashed tiny new zones on foot or land mount, go ahead. I would rather be watching from above on my Grinning Reaver, which my wife bought for my birthday months ago but can only be flown in the last expansion !New expansion with Dalaran as a hub, get real more rehashed content. What is a hero class? They should be better than any other class. Then the game becomes unbalanced and the hero class gets nerfed back to non-hero status as with the whole death knight thing. Death Knights are just another class the same as everyone else and so will Demon Hunters or whatever else you bring in. New races, new classes yes, but stop with the elitist crap, artifacts, hero classes, they are nothing other than hype and all will be nerfed to appease the masses and balance the game as always. Artifacts are not new, LOTR had the same concept. A leveling weapon or armor piece is a good thing, but every pally with Ashbringer in one of six color’s hmmm.Bring in a hero class and everyone plays the hero, pointless. And the worst thing of all yet another increase in the level cap. I am sick of leveling all my chars because I have to or get left behind. Ok some folk play just one or two chars and I have currently 12 100’s one of every class, every trade skill and profession and they all need leveling in every expansion to be able to get the new recipes. I want to level new classes or race’s not the same ones I have had for years. Our family has played Wow since the start and they have all quit apart from me. Half Hill grinding killed it for my in-laws. My wife is busy enjoying ESO where she can customize her class as she wants and is currently playing an awesome looking two handed sword wielding plate armored mage with a raptor/dragon pet. The kids have gone back to Xbox and Steam on PC. There is no community online in Wow anymore, no central hub everyone uses. One of the things I miss from the days of Ultima Online is hanging at Brit Bank with all the hussle and bussle of trading, faction’s , role play , thieves and just showing off your new mount and dyed armor pieces. I miss browsing the player run shops and the housing which was the best system ever. Yeh I know it was a crappy 2d game but the community was amazing. Artifacts and choosing the wrong 3d engine killed UO.Blizzard were doing it right before MoP and have lost their way, the same as all businesses that grow into global corporations do. They become faceless and shareholder/accountant driven and forget about the customer. So in short, a new central hub with portals to everywhere, new content, new races, new fantastic looking weapons and armor, dye’s for armor, non-instanced housing and player trade stalls/shops, no increase in level cap, real viable beneficial professions and for god sake flying at max level.Steam machines hit in November (some are already available) and that’s going to be the next big thing. Windows 10 had to be a freebie with integration with Xbox One and some backward compatibility with 360 to compete.Maybe it’s time for a change after all these years of traditional MMO’s and start playing something new. The Division from Ubisoft looks interesting.
I don't really care about the whining I just wish it was somewhere else. Usually it's off topic of what wowhead is posting about. If you want to complain about what wowhead is doing go ahead and post here. If you want to comment about something off topic of the post then go to the forums. For weeks people have been talking about the doom and gloom of wow on every single post and it's getting a little old. So the people who are complaining about the complainers just want to discuss the topics being presented by wowhead. I don't think that's a bad thing, is it?
In short, people got burnt. Some were burnt by Cata, some by MoP. But, Warlords burnt a lot of people, and the flaming snowball is now where it is.
them saying "we are very happy with how WOD turned out" is what burned most people out.
