I did Borean first and then went to the Fjord. I recommend doing both -- got me to 74 and means you will have more quests left over for making some cash at 80.
Went HF first because I was in UC and it was the closes Zep to Northrend :) I'll hit up Borean later...

I chose the Howling Fjord, just because everybody would be taking the boat from Stormwind to the Borean Tundra.
That sounds like a great idea!Me? I took the Howling Fjord at recommendation of my guild. I wasn't sure which I would go to anyway, but had said I may go to the Tundra. The Fjord was awesome, especially the quests, but they were spread kinda thin.So I went to the Borean Tundra before publishing this work so I could experience both sides. I am very glad I did, as the entire WWII effect when leaving Valiance Keep & experiencing Coldarra have made it well worth it.I want to make clear, though, that I did enjoy the questing in the Howling Fjord, but in my quest to get as much done as possible in the limited play time I have...the Borean Tundra seems more suitable.
I completed over 130 quests in the Tundra and over 100 in the Fjord before moving on to Dragonblight at level 74. I can only play after work so things slow down during the week. But I've also done Nexus, Utgard, and Azjol-Nerub twice, completing their quests, and plan on doing The Old Kingdom tonight. Quests in Dragonblight so far have not given significantly more XP than those in the starting zones. I'm shooting for 75 tonight, 76 sometime Friday and 80 by late (probably very late) Sunday night. With all 5 man instances and their quests completed.I found the Tundra to be much more disjoint than the Fjord, and for the most part enjoyed the Fjord more. Dragonsblight is interesting and you get the sense that the scourge are on the march.
I started in Borean Tundra, as I liked the landscape the best. After that, I went to Dragonblight, completed around 50 quests, and then went to Howling Fjord to try it out. Afterwards, I headed to Grizzly Hills where I am now on the Drakuru quests. At the moment I am level 75. Gotta say I've liked Dragonblight best so far.
I decided to take my freshly 70 prot warrior into Northrend first, so I chose Howling Fjord because there was a quest line with a big upgrade to my weapon and shield right away. When I bring in my next toon however, I will be heading to the Borean Tundra.
I first got to Howling Fjord which i was really impressed with. After doing all the quests and getting the quest achievement, i went to Borean Tundra. Which my friends said was really amazing. I didint think so. Right now i am at lvl 74 and 149/150 in the Borean Tundra Achievement.
Since your on ally side illidan would you be able to sell a few items via AH like ally pets, recipes and stuff like that? ohh and tell ur buddies not to kill anyone in Unleashed Furries, ty :)
My fiancee and I took our shaman/warrior duo to Borean. The quests there are pretty cool, but there were a lot more people (mostly horde to gank us) so it was a little crowded. While she's at work, I took my Hunter alt to the Fjord. That zone is amazing, and I think it might be one of my favorites so far. The quests are fun, and the storyline is cool. My "alt" has now passed my shaman in levels (Hunter is 73, Shaman is 71) and has moved onto Dragonblight. When we take our death knight duo into Northrend, we will be starting in the Fjord.
I kind of jumped between both of them. My death knight started Borean around 69. around 71, I went to do Utgarde keep and stayed in the zone and did those quests. I'm sitting at 73 right now with 120/130 in Borean and about 105/130 in Fjord. Both great starting zones.
