now THIS is how reputation NEED to be, maybe a piece of gear that is higher than the others and just a bunch of toys and other not very important pieces of gear. I'm loving this expansion from what i see!
Most nay-sayers haven't got the patience to type out, "... there's no content in this game that I want to do...!", usually because they get bored with the fact that they have to say so to other people.I still fail to understand why some players only look at the narrowest of narrow-minded views of any game they play, as if THAT is the only part of the game that even exists. If anyone wants a simple game to play, stick to Solitaire if that's all you can handle by way of simplicity... if you still don't get that a MMO-RPG has a wide expanse of content - all of which is created to be equally valid to a large number of players, then why do you even entertain the prospect of even 'owning' the title... if your brain can't tell you to 'walk away', then there's more wrong with you than you either realise or are willing to accept.WoW has been around long enough for even the most dim-witted of amoeba to know that there's a lot involved in the game as far as time and financial commitment are concerned & if you detest either, then... "Bye!"If you are judging yet to be released content based on a poor personal experience of what's gone before, then you need to admit to yourself that you don't like WoW, quit playing & seek psychological counselling for the mental scarring that has been visited upon you.TL; DR... give new stuff a chance to GET released or - with the greatest respect - shut the heck up & let those who can/do/will give stuff a chance & do like the game get on with playing it & constructively contributing to the rest of the community who do.
People complain if gear is the slight wrong color, much less if questing is fun or the like. The world question system seems fun, it looks dynamic and has a variety of activities to do so folks that want to pvp, pet battle, quest with friends, kill world bosses, etc, have options, which was the exact opposite of WoD end game where you had garrison stuff, raiding, the 1 daily assault quest and.. that was about it, until Tanaan came along. Willing to give it a chance. Anyhow, the new factions look neat, though I'm a lil wary even being able to open them up in any order that that gear won't be beyond useless too quick, like the WoD factions with the 615 trinkets that lasted... well, they didn't even last past heroics. To say nothing of the annoying grind to work up most of them, heck I only just finished Steamwheedle on my main last week just because of incidental rep gains from medallions and the like. The shoulder enchant idea is neat too, it'll be nice to have them back without them being related to performance, so folks that want them can work for them and folks that don't need them can safely ignore them. A nice balance
Look at all those factions, can't wait to learn more about them!
I hope those models aren't final. I don't want to rep grind only to get reused gear models with high stats chucked on them. They share the same assets as greens for christ sake. Stop it Blizzard. Getting mighty tired of them reusing art assets x10.
I hope they add mounts!
So right now none of the reps gives a mount of any kind? We have went from reps with tons of recolors to reps without mounts at all? Am i the only person who liked getting rep and earning a mount/tabard/toys for doing it? it was never hard but it at least took time you could show off your mounts /sad face
You know what, WoD had content. You simply didn't do them. Why? It was boring and didn't give anything you wanted. Garrison dailies, dungeon/raid weeklies, rare weeklies, garrison raid boss....It was all there and most people didn't do them. Only when pathfinder was launched we came to realize just people many didn't bother to do garrison dailies that were there from day one! Keep pretending that Legion world quests are awesome. First thing people will do is check reward and discard anything that is not "worth doing". Than comes the grind. Too grindy with average reward..Off it goes! Blizzard has learned from WoD that people will do content that has big giant carrot at end and is not too grindy. So instead of creating that, they just added all the WoD style world content into flying meta. Watch-out, entire Suramar zone offers nothing more than some gold and story progression. Wanna bet just how many will not touch and whine about lack of content a month into launch?
Log? That Ren and Stimpy reference tho.
... must learn that direct quoting is not a good idea (esp. if you are in danger of causing direct offense) -- but how can generalising a response to a (seemingly) overly negative opinion of the general state of a game be done without referencing an example of 'said opinion'?I like to defend the game I play & stand up for those who choose not to do so, openly... against those who are seemingly disillusioned by future content before giving it a fair chance to go live - naughty me.
The same idea came to my mind, there should be ~3 option to choose for each faction, (like you could choose back in Molten Front, Thunder Isle or now Tanaan) a daily quest, a grind (kill+token) and a hc dungeon one, you speak with the faction representative, and choose an option for the day.
As many stated before me below, it's funny that how human mind/logic works, people say the game has no challenge, too casual(?), too easy, but, - they say - back in the old times, when the world and WoW were still so young, in the golden age of Vanilla, everything were perfect, good, etc. Now, if my intel is right, back in the good times, every reputation were a heavy grind, no tabard, no purchasable token for you, you had to kill hundreds of undead in the Plaguelands for the scourgestones, massacre thousands of twilight agents in Silithus for the texts, murder billions of furbolgs for their shiny necklaces in Winterspring, and I didn't mentioned the pvp factions yet. So grind was part of the game from the very beginig of creation. I am not an agent of Blizz to comment every decision positive, they mdae and will make bad decisions, but for the Naru's sake, the game 12 years old, it's natural it will change, the developers try new things, discard olds, which not always a good thing, but in this way the game can evolve further. As the greek philosopher, Herakleitos said, you can not enter the same river twice, (even you liked that particular part of it - the commenter). Yes this bring up the nostalgi servers problem, but that is not part of this topic.
Do they want to add another achive for Rep other than 60 Exalted Reputations?we need achive like 80 or more maybe Rep achivement !
