In honor of the competition I developed a skin for the interface addon nUI! You can find the skin at Wowinterface. It's titled Brew Way. Here's a link: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=16763#info
@Elgatodefuego Dwarf priest named Dagnabbit? You ever spend time on Kilrogg server? Thanks to those who pointed out that using http://ptr.wowhead.com/contest=have-a-brew does work. The anticipation of who the first winners were was killing me.
@orionis No, I can't say I have. I got the idea from the Bruenor Battlehammer series of books.
Aww man this is so unfair >.> Finally a contest i can enter from Romania but i can't since i'm only 17 till the 5th of next month :/ Oh well maybe next time :P
It's past noon and there's no new winners... Good luck to everyone.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
again with the
For the 'omg some guy just signed up entered and won blahblahblah' discussion, you guys ever consider that some people might have already used this site, but wanted a little murloc of their own? he only reason i ever mad an account was to rate up comments that were begging to be rated up, otherwise i would have done the same thing, along with a lot of other people.
I'm in <Agony>! I need some... ooh! A Grunty!
I have no problem with people winning a contest with an account they created a few hours prior to that - Infact, thats exactly what Wowhead stands to gain from this: More users :)On that note however; I would be lying if I said that it wouldn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, seeing 8 out of 10 pets being sent to 'fresh accounts' -I mean, we dont even know what kind of people they are! ... For all we know they get bored with it after a day, resulting in a neglected Grunty with nothing going for him... Except the hope of a less painfull death then starvation :(In "our" defense; when someone says "but I always visited it daily since day 1, I just didnt have an account" - how exactly should we consider that a justification? :P its like downloading torrents and deleting them the second your download is finished =pbeing a member is more then just commenting on an item every now and then... Just to name a big example; most members upload their data gathered while playing every now and then - this results in wowhead having more accurate droprates, which in turn helps visitors find the information that they were hoping to learn.A lot of people became a member at wowhead, just for the idea of 'giving something back to the community'... Some people probably feel offended simply by the act of making an account, purely motivated by the possibility of gaining something from it yourself =pI'm quite laidback though! <3
I'm secretly hoping I win grand prize as the universes way of saying happy birthday to me. My Birthday is really close. :3
