To all the QQ about the LFD.Remember the time where you had to post in the LFG channel to find a group? Good times..Take it as it is, a utility to find dungeons without having to be social. Log in, join queue, go do dailies while you wait. If you want an instant queue, roll a tank or, to some extent, a healer, but know your stuff. There's nothing worse than joining a group and having the tank have no idea how to tank, and it's giving us tanks a bad name. "Thank f*ck, a tank who knows how to tank" is my usual greeting once the first trash pack is cleared. I've been running heroics, and I'm just getting sick of all the chaos I have to put up with from PuGs, which is why most tanks these days only run with guild members.
Sigh, am I actually going to have to explain this? Fine. 1. Teamwork is actually about bringing people who you could not do the job without. Otherwise it's not called a 'team'. It's called 'you'. This, in essence, defines the current state of LFD. You define what you can do, i.e. dps. Then you wait for others who can do the roles that you either cannot or will not do. It's that simple. 2. Again, my problem with "So, in the end, I generally run my dungeons solo, or with two of my RL friends that play WoW, but as DPS" is that you aren't running them solo. You are running them with others who are fulfilling roles that you have chosen (either in your class or in your spec) not to fulfill. And I said absolutely NOTHING about RL friends. There must be literally thousands of tanks or healers on your server (Even after the so-called nerf to healing, which is really just bringing it back to what healing always was before WOTLK). Go meet some. Buy them candy. Say nice things about their hair. Be social in this MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE ROLEPLAYING GAME. If you are logging on, saying nothing to anyone besides the people you already know, and then logging off, why do you even play this game?
