I do hope we get to see the Old Gods. I wish to get to fight C'thun in a revamped AQ, this time at his full power, and also Yog'Saron at his full power, all this followed by facing Queen Azshara and then all these events leading to N'zoth finally showing up.
All I heard is old gods and nagas. Honestly wouldn't mind. Both brands are quite different from both WoD and Legion. Besides, Old Gods are cool, always was a fan of Lovecraft :p
Back to Azeroth! And I would like to see Jaina more to be honest.
i bet it will go back to killing old gods and stuff xDwe are starting wow from beginning again i guess hehe
Personally I am all in for a nautical expansion that includes Kul Tiras, South Seas and Undermine as a gateway to eventually journeying to face N'Zoth. But I hope the void/old god stuff stays mostly at endgame or subsequent patches.
Hopefully they wont go full on Void expansion, eventho everything we've seen lately is pointing out that way. I miss some basic enemies!
Although the void thing seems like the most obvious choice for next expansion's theme I have a feeling that blizzard will surprise us with something else. Perhaps something more related to Sylvannas will happen since in almost all past expansions a lot of development has been happening and time for a conclusion is urgently needed.
Not sure, tbh. I don't really follow the lore that much, just kill stuff and watch the occasional cinematic.
I hope Slyvannas or Jaina don't become enemies. They have been so important to the story over the course of WoW since warcraft. But I am very excited to see what awaits us :D! For the HORDE!
The return of Jaina Proudmore maybe? And probably something like Siege of Stormwind come along with it? XD
Hopefully Kul Tiras shows up in the next expansion. Naval warfare á la Tides of Darkness between Horde and Alliance while Azshara and her nagas pose problems for both factions would be cool. Gnomish and goblin submarines for everyone!
well, I know it's not necessarily connected to lore, but it would be really nice to see a new profession, who knows, could be there will be.or to make it less harder for the developers to fix the economy, they can add a new pseudo profession like it was to cut lumber on draenor, or grow plants on pandaria.it actually sound pretty logically they they would add something like that, as they did in the past.
I wanna go back to Azeroth and od something there. I just hope we wont face Alleria or Tyralion as an enemy, cause it will break my heart)
I think we have enough hints of growing Old Gods activity, so that should be a large part of the comming expansion story. Personally I am against Jaina or Sylvanas as enemies.
Brilliant thread. I agree with your speculation. Expecting and hoping for more void and titan lore in the short term.
I'm worried the immediate next step for the story might be a 'filler' or 'peaceful' period, ala WoD and MoP. No already known and feared big bad, but rather the impression of nothing (MoP) or something fairly new/invented (WoD). I really hope to be wrong, but the teasing of Kul Tiras and Jana more thoroughly/immediately than the void has me a little shook. It also feels a bit like they need to save the next 'OMG' big enemy for a bit.Again, I 100% hope I'm wrong. I hope we get to see the void in it's full glory, as something so scary it essentially formed the Legion. That's f'ing terrifying, and awesomely/appropriately so. Add some old god fun (because who doesn't love old gods) and that could be the story that's able to top the anticipation that was the Burning Crusade come full circle.
Hopefully we get some side lore as to the mysterious figure behind the pet battle dungeons.
In my thoughts the next steps could be Void theme location. Can't wait to see it.
where the story will go next in Antorus and beyondI think it will involve Jaina of course and the gods. But I would like to see Some new gods, Maybe some of our Fav that have died made to God status. Then the ultimate war of Ally against Horde. End result WE become united realizing we could only survive as one...
I'm looking forward to a new expansion set in "Southrend" where we heroes of Azeroth will be fighting global warming in our cloth/leather/chain/plate bikinis and acquiring some wicked suntans along the way.
