Looks great! Much better than the previous version!
For me in my humble private opinion one of the best pluses of WoW and wowhead that is still under developing, still people are trying to make it better! You are awesome! Thank you and good luck!P.S. Hope it is possible to return an achievement fow downloading your hero in wowhead... ))
Fantastic layout... Really love the changes!
Not bad. I like new main page wowhead)
Mostly I like it, the news previews work nicely to let you quickly scroll past multiple articles for an overview, and I like having more to a page than before; basically everything below Today in Broken Isles I can get used to and think works well. Not so keen on the bluetracker/recent news/Today in Broken isles though; it just feels very cluttered with text. I would say the text needs to be a bit more spaced out with more space between lines (I've been having eyestrain problems of late, and lines too close together is something I'm extra aware of now), only that'll make it take up even more space and make it so I can't even see the headline of the first news article without scrolling down... I think it's just too much info at the top. I appreciate there's ad layout reasons behind it but the old sidebar for those things was very good as it meant it didn't push everything else off the first page you see.Perhaps the 7.2.5 PTR info could go into the top bar next to the Patch 7.2 dropdown? And the Patch 7.2 stuff in the Today in Broken Isles could go in the Patch 7.2 dropdown too (maybe leave hotfixes as a direct link with a date indicating the lastest hotfix - that one is useful to have in there!) A smaller Today in Broken Isles would help reduce the feeling of clutter I think. Making the Bluetracker and latest news boxes collapsable would also help, if that's at all possible. Basically when I visit I'm either going to search for something, quickly go to a database link from the dropdowns OR browse the news stories... which aren't there at first glance. The latest news text links don't catch the eye in the same way as the previews do so it'd be better for me if the previews weren't pushed off the page.
I almost never post on Wowhead, and totally have to to say great job! The old front page was so cluttered with the new features every one of them felt worse than they should. I think is quite clear that the new design both improves navigation and clarifies readability. Great Job Wowhead team!
Loved it, all the necessary info at top and topics are easy to see as they look compact now. Thanks :))
I like it! Good job.
I really like the new look, very modern. Nice!
Really nice improvement imho. Thank you
I like it. Much easier to read than the older version. Looks clean and neat
I wish you'd work on optimizing and fixing the search since it is slow and likes to crash in chrome for no reason. I couldn't care less about you revamping a page I otherwise don't use except to access the search. Speaking of which can we get back a landing page which is just the search bar with database links and not the news? You could even put the little box for today in the broken isles on that page since that is somewhat helpful.I don't come to wowhead to read about whatever silly thing they are adding in wow now. I came here to search on details of some quest and where to find those specific monsters I need for it at.
It doesn't tell me what zone in the Broken Isles is under attack by the Legion. You need to fix that up, otherwise I can't tell if I'm going to hop on and do my dailies at that time.
I found myself opening a lot less news articles than before when hearthpwn switched to their new (similar) layout. With the new layout it is absolutely vital that the summary contains all the important bits of information otherwise your visitors will skip the news articles.
good news is more new we can see each pagebad news is less info i like prevous front page betterprobably its rare its look most or almost all people like it.i like it littlelarger tabs see more on before clickingso mash up both old and new style will be better for me :Dsome of my pals still missing simple view googe lish look from 5-7 year agos :Dnot me.
I like the new look...after getting around the dozen or so internal server errors. ;)
Why is all of the text on the site SUPER CRAZY BIG now? The front page and all the comments is 16px which is just massive. I had to double check and make sure my browser wasn't zoomed in by accident. But my biggest complaint is the new teeny tiny articles on the front page. Personally I much prefer the style of MMO-Champion with a long-scrolling front page that lets me scroll through all the recent Warcraft news without opening 20 tabs to different articles. I realize that forcing people to open tabs brings in more ad revenue, but maybe you could add an option to fully expand articles (or it could be a Premium perk). If you were going to change something, I would have much prefered making the navigation menus along the top of the page require a click to open rather than opening instantly when the mouse goes over them. I click random crap by accident ALL THE TIME because I want to click on something near the top of the page but when I move my mouse the ZAM or Transmog or whatever menu suddenly flies open.
No more comment voting, or am I missing something?Thank you perculia and the rest of the wowhead team for all the great work!
