I usually play caster damage classes that have some sort of passive healing. Examples off the top of my head... :Warcraft - Shadowpriest Guildwars - Mesmer (caster) with necromancer blood well (ability to turn corpses into aoe heals),

Well for a long time a played a warrior type class. But once i started playing games like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning i found that i like playing the battle mage. A battle mage is a mix between a warrior and a spellcaster.
I like playing caster type classes
I tend to always play some sort of melee class. I like getting in the enemy's face and wailing away on them. I currently like playing a Protection Paladin.
I always go for melee dps, well mostly. In Wow originally I rolled a Warrior, then a rogue, tried to switch it up and tried a mage thorough BC, but play the rogue mostly now. Diablo II was strickly a barbarian, got the beta last fall, it's mostly just a demo - first 12 levels, up to first boss. I've played all the classes and will probably start with a witch doctor when it comes out. Skyrim I've gone with a battle mage hybrid type - wearing heavy armor and sword but mostly destruction spells in the left hand. Skyrim is so open I'm loving it, hopefully Kingdoms is the same. Playing SWTOR now too, mostly a bounty hunter, but keep going back to Skyrim.
I tend to play a caster or a soldier type role.
If there's ever a monk class, I go with that right away. Otherwise, I default to rogues/assassins and healers.
I find myself gravitating to melee classes, specifically those which involve swinging large weapons and killing quickly. Casters can be interesting but the charge into battle is what gets my ire up:)
Generally a Rogue/Assassin type class... Sneaky, quick weapons you know lol
I usually play a DPS class, but I've done it all. The only thing I haven't done is win anything. Ever. ;)
