i'm really excited, this is the best thing blizz could have implemented!my 10m raid (11 main raiders, 3 backups) is full of awesome people who won't ever !@#$% about who gets it. rather, no one will want it. as a co-RL, the hardest part will be to choose who gets it, because there's no one who deserves it most.it'll all come down to who has the biggest gain and the biggest competition in that particular slot. i don't think that blizz will be able to balance the items in a perfect way, making them equal.
Theoretically a nice system, problem arises when people get them. If only 1 person can get a sigil/whatever pr. boss, you have to decide who in the guild is gonna get it first. Ofc. it would have to be someone who attends every raid. The obvious would be picking a tank or healer. When it's the DPS' turn to get one, I think it would be most fair to give it to the one who performed best overall. High DPS, focused, always avoiding fire, quickly learning tactics, spending time & gold on preperation for raids etc.Ofc we will also have to look at how the procs will benefit each class/spec, but we can only speculate on that now.Honestly, this is gonna tear guilds apart. I would be furious if someone who performs less than me gets it over me, and I could easily see some guilds doing the easy approach with rolling on the first sigil, winner gets rest of sigils. Or leader making sure he gets one and all his friends get one. Im in a guild where 5 of the people all know eachother irl, including the guildmaster and raidleader. They do not really seem like the type of people who'd do this stuff, nor do I seem like one. I often pass items to people who needs them more, but this is legendary stuff we're talking about. If the guilds are not handling it with care, this system is gonna tear guilds apart.

As no one actually tought of the chance that only the person with the quest gets the item? As in multiple people can do it, but the drop rate is small or the quests having to be soloed and being really hard? That Blizzard as considered the obvious drama that would happen if this was a one member at a time thing?Come you guys can QQ all you want, and complain that Blizz screwed this, and Blizz screwed that, but they are not idiots (They are not perfect on that point). They tought this trough and they will not put epople rage fighting against each other over a CLASS legendary, CLASS being the big word here. Why make a legendary that everyone has a version of if only one person can get it at a time? Think about it a bit before you all rage.
I don't want this to sound like i'm complaining and i do like the idea an know most of it hasn't been data-mined yet but i'm feeling the should just do maybe a multi class legendary again for ones who have been waiting for example a polearm that hunter, warrior dk, & paly can get (stats based on turn in of the quest) since this Expansion casters an rogues got new ones.Just my opinion because there are some valid points in some of the data-mined bonuses not being to effective.
I think it will be raid wide and realatively fast.No one wants to get a weapon in the t14 raid, enchant it with the legendary item, then drop a better weapon with better itemization in t15 and have to go back to enchant it again.Making it raid wide and not very hard to obtain could easilly allow pugs to raid "old" content tiers like t14 while being in t16
I really like this idea, and I'm excited to be able to (hopefully) deck out all my characters instead of wishing I had leveled a mage and whatnot. :P
What I find most interesting about this approach is the concept of a quest reward buff that makes a weapon legendary and brings its stats up to the level of Pandaria. I truly hope that this means that Thunderfury, Thori'dal, Sulfuras, Val'anyr, the Warglaives of Azzinoth, Shadowmourne, Dragonwrath and the daggers, Golad and Tiriosh, will become or remain useful for MoP. If so, Breath of the Black Prince may be one of the most brilliant additions to the game to come out of this expansion.I also want to comment on the whining about the being overpowered. Whether in this or other threads that particular whine usually translates as, "I'm such an incompetent at playing my class/role/spec that other "overpowered" class kills me easily in PvP and embarrasses my crappy damage in dungeons and raids." The whining only reveals the incompetence of the whiner, not a problem with the class about which he complains. Rather than exposing the whiner's own incompetence, we'd all be better served if he devoted the time spent whining about another class' being "overpowered" to learning his own class and becoming a better player. If he did the rest of us could have an intelligent discussion of aspects of the game.
one byproduct of an individual loot chance instead of a raid drop would mean as the tiers go on, players would lock in a bit more to their main as they progress toward their legendary. I suppose you could run alts on an alt run, but IMO it would solidify groups much more than they are now.this woud make me a really happy GM/co-RL.
This is nothing but a retarded excuse to keep the players at the game through out the entire expansion, as it won't have any content.
