Pull him into the hallway before his room. His mechanics hit very weakly. Avoid as many spiderlings as possible as they will just keep spawning until the next (last) boss is engaged.

This guy ended my 380 point run, I had even killed the spider Psillych in the end. I have no idea how to avoid him kill all your withered. I started the fight with 10 of them at full health. You can stun him every time he picks up one of them. But in the end they'll die.

This guy is easy to solo as blood and very possible to stop each attempt to eat through stun or grip but pull him way, way back to avoid the spiders killing your withered.

This entire scenario is rigged for failure. The withered themselves do the most monumentally retarded things. They are essentially ranged casters with auto-shot and they will repeatedly get closer and closer, allowing themselves to be hit when doing so is -entirely- unnecessary. The only way to get this done is to have 12 at minimum. Drag him into the hallway and continuously move backwards while facing him away from the withered for as long as possible. And even then, he's still bound to take out nearly all of them because apparently the withered are so intense that they can aggro through millions in damage + a taunt + abilities that are all supposed to gain an extreme amount of aggro..

I don't know what the reward is at the end of all of this but I do know that it's rigged like a 1980's arcade game. It's a good thing there's no micro-transactions.

Did this guy with 6 withered, Havoc DH, (%67 hp avrg) i burned him to %60 and got out of burst, i had no withered at %20 but the one that is by me asking to be subdued. So like 5 seconds before i got message from the NPC saying they gone thru a lot i subdued him. At %10 he tried to grab but i stunned him before he could, now with one withered im trying to hit spider (changing to vengeance) Wish me luck!

The spiders make this living hell for anything that has to kite. Did someone say "dazed"?

If you intend to kite him don't switch your withered into their damage version. They will be less likely to pull him away from you.
Of course this is needed if you don't have enough withered to kill him quickly.

Also the easiest way I found to kite him is through the hallway back and fort. Zero other mobs pulled this way.

You can do this easily as a prot warrior.

Today I got to this guy for the first time and I had been messing up a lot so I had only one withered.
I measured how far back I could stand and leap and then immediatelly taunt him so that I get the withered so far behind they don't get to attack him at first and producing aggro. I did this while hugging the left wall.
Once he was taunted I started going back and had him unselected so that the withered would not attack.
I pulled him back a great distance in the tunnel and then just started attacking him while backing all the way into the round great area with the tower in the middle. This was going fine (slow with just 1 withered) for a while. As I constantly pulled him back the withered was always too far away for him to grab and I could just walk out of stomp and the withered would not get hit so no need for stun. It would only risk the withered catching up. However at 10% I backed into some debris and the withered caught up, got grabbed and then stomped after I interrupted so I didn't make it but it was going great up until that mistake.

Try this and look out for debris.

Easily killable with 30 troops. If you max out on ancient mana and play it safe up to him you should be fine. Just make sure you face the boss away from your army.

Key tips:

Keep withered on normal mode
Kite Furog out of the room with spiders, preferably into 1 of the big, round rooms
Move Furog further away from the withered every couple seconds to maintain max range
If a withered starts to flee, consider him lost.

Story: I just did this fight for the 1st time with 7 withered and only lost 3 by the end and could have only lost 1. After pulling and clearing the mobs on the left, I pulled Furog on the left as well and only got 1 spider. I kept moving him back, taking him all the way down the hallway, eventually ending up in one of the big circular rooms I'd cleared before. While you don't have to continuously move, I was taking a couple steps every few seconds.

The key is to keep your withered in their normal stance and max distance from him. This prevents Grab Withered and Stomp from ever damaging them. As they're throwing rocks, they like to periodically move closer and closer to whatever they're attacking, so always moving Furog away keeps them at max distance. Furog never grabs them when they're this far. The only reason I lost 3 was because 1 of my withered began running away, so I thought I'd use cat form Dash to save him real quick. Within the few seconds it took to click my withered, Furog grabbed another one and then killed 2 others with a Stomp. I quickly learned if I ever try to save a runner, Furog will just use Grab Withered on another anyway.

As a blood DK, you can Death Grip to interrupt his Grab Withered, the CD is short enough where it can be up every time.

You can just skip him until later time when you get more powerful. Just turn around the place.

Is there any reason to kill this guy rather than skirt the edge of the room and avoid him on your way up to Psyllich? I already grabbed the chest and the extra withered from the edges.

It seems that Grab Withered oneshots the withered at the end of the duration. I was playing as a disc priest, giving my only withered two shields that absorb more than 2.5million health in total, but it died anyway.
