Soloed as a 27 Discipline Priest. You can still cast when he grabs you in his mouth. Just make sure you keep your shield up and renew.

Anyone with decent self-healing should be able to solo him. Even a proper level potion should even allow people with poor self-healing to handle this guy.

At about 50% of your HP he eats you and you start taking 5% of your health in damage a second, which isn't all that much at ~27 remember. You can still cast/use abilities while in his mouth.

He's susceptible to snares, making this a cakewalk for frost mages.

As a frost mage, i "soloed" him, but did have the help of a large group of hunter npcs from the horde cages near by. So if you happen to be on the quest to save them at the same time, might be helpful to bring them along =P .

Also when he ate me, i used Ice block in panic(was not expecting that) and for some reason i wasn't taking damage even after Ice block went away. Didn't notice if the deuff bugged out or not though...

I had to take a death on my 80 from this guy's evil 5% health every second debuff. There was no timer on it and it's not dispellable. While I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself alive through that for a lengthy amount of time, my cat chose that moment to require attention. I stopped petting him when I heard the sad sound of my priest dying. :-(

Unfortunately, google has failed me in providing an answer as to how to get rid of the debuff except by death. Fortunately, there was no durability loss.

Easy soloed as a 26 frost mage:) Just kite him a bit and you'll be good.
Also.. he ate my water elemental O.o i find that a bit odd =D i guess he eats the first thing he meets in his path.. or maybe it was a bug;)

Easily solo'd as a level 26 Frost Mage. Just freeze him, blink, and take him down.

This guy takes a lot of damage he can be snared. If you can try to keep him stunned as often as possible.

Soloed him as a frost Mage no healing spells just stayed the hell away from him.

I'm generally a bit cautious about taking on group quests on my own.

Do you think I could solo him with my Frost Mage?

Soloed on my level 30 Hunter (: He didn't even touch me haha. I was kinda scared taking him on as they recommend you to go with a group of 2 (or was it 12? Can't remember). But ... Yeah, only has like 3,6k hp, my spider snared him, I hit him with a 1k Aimed Shot and ... He was pretty much done for.

Yes I'm a bit higher level than most of you but because I Dung/BG fairly often I'm a bit higher level than people normally are from my level. It's awesome tho, I rarely not 1 hit a monster that's even 3 levels higher than me, imagine monsters 3 levels lower than me? :D
But yeah, I tried kiting, didn't work because if you get on the land he'll stop attacking you :o 'n he was dead anyways lol. Got a niiice Necklace from the quest :D

If your are on the quest Mr. D's Wild Ride you can use the Mr. D to hit the fish for about 20% of his HP using auto attack until the roboter dies. The rest should be doable. You can even kite the fish

killed him on my second try as a 28 warrior, it's a lot more difficult as a non-selfhealing class (without potions)

Soloed this as 27 lvl Arcane mage, with not a single heirloom on my char. Just kite. Run Arcane barage, blink etc.. :)

I just soloed this guy on my level 26 fury Warrior without potions. Should I feel like a boss or is that just normal? I died on my first try, thinking I didn't have any potions. Then on my second attempt, I killed him quite easily without using the potion. (Had about a fourth of my health left)

Soloed as a level 27 combat rogue.
Required extensive use of Recuperate and a Healing Potion.

Balance druids: just keep using Entangling Roots to keep him from getting to attacking distance. If he does manage to damage you, just heal when he's rooted and then resume attacking.

Soloed him as a 27 arms warrior. Was very close, but I recommend just spamming Mortal Strike, Slam, and finish him off with Execute.

Solo'd him as a Feral Druid with absolutely no help, just me. Just keep yourself healed, some heal over time spells and good DPS and it shouldn't require 2 players!

Drops a green once every 15 or so kills. Not worth farming imo.

Although the big fish looks a little scary with level-scaling (if you are 60 or under) it'n not a real issue if you have any kind of reliable self-healing and/or shielding. When I took this on with a lvl 55 Protection Paladin, it barely did any damage to my char before it died - although this may be due in part to the opposite faction char who phased in the moment I started the fight.

In any case, if you are squishy, take care as this is an Elite mob. I did not notice any special skills (despite earlier version posts mentioning this) but bare in mind it is a possibility. The game suggests 2 player battle, but the choice is yours.
