These are new grey spiders in Deadwind Pass. They spawn in waves to attack the ogres in The Vice area.

They are definitely tameable and are colour-stable with the grey "minespiderskincave" skin.

Note that there is a second Deadwind Widow spider. The second appears identical to this one and is also tameable, but is found over a much larger portion of the zone. It isn't associated with the ogres and does not appear in The Vice.

Obviously created to prevent lowbies from crossing without getting killed. That part used to be empty, much to Blizzard's dislike, apparently.

Two of them in Goldshire on Galakrond a couple days ago. Didn't think anything of it until just now, one was following a player around Stormwind, remained "aggressive" but evaded blows. Still followed the player all over though.

There was one bugging out in stormwind today (EU-Deathwing), evaiding every attack, but we still managed to kill it :D

We found out that explosive traps still get triggered and kill it, so if you see one bugging out, ask a hunter to place a few explosive traps at his location, that will kill it, and also stops other bugging out stuff near (like guards attacking nothingness and making attack noises while just standing still.

was getting a boost through shadowfang when me and my mate see 3 of these in the entrance, my mate flew over the entrance and tried to kill them, but they would evade his attacks.

This mob can be kited and forced to evade wherever it is taken to, take it to a capital city and you'll have guards spamming chat, there's also a mob in Kalimdor that does the same.

This bug can be reproduced as often as you want to: just have a toon ride along Deadwind Pass (I used a lvl20 at 160% riding speed). At least one, sometimes two or three spiders will then follow you around as your pet.This is a funny bug, because it works on cue. They will not leave you if you use the flight master, so you can take them to town. They will, however, leave you if you use the Hearthstone.
