Looking for volunteers to participate in his lesson. If you agree, he will cast Gorilla Knowledge at you, changing your appearance.

The spell cast lasts 5 minutes. You can continue to cast with the shapeshift active but you cannot participate in another of his lessons for 30 minutes.

Shapeshifting will dispel the spell.

This NPC is named after game engineer Ron Nakada, who passed away earlier this year after strugling with colon cancer for some time. It's a nice gesture from Blizzard to remember people who is no longer amongst us; guess Robin Williams is not the only memorial in this expansion.

I spoke to him today and was turned into a Crawling Claw
with the A Nakada Special (5 min duration) and Test Subject (30 min duration) buffs.

You are unable to be a volunteer again until the 30 min buff has gone.

Edit: After staying there for a few hours leveling pets on the squirrels and re-volunteering every 30 mins i have seen the following transformations
Crawling Claw
Shimmering Wyrmling
A white Kirin Tor Familiar I cant find a battle pet equivalent
Sprite Darter Hatchling

One of his quotes when you speak to him is:

Before one can truly understand the artistry of weaving a spell, one must first ask themselves how many bunnies can you see?

When you understand the meaning of this question, the foundation of the universe will become more clear.

This is an in-joke, as many different events in WoW are triggered by placing invisible (and usually untargetable/undetectable) bunnies throughout the world, and using them as a reference point for a spell or a sound, or the center of a region. Many of these bunnies are searchable on Wowhead.

During Halloween event Archmage Nakada <Master of Spells> says the following upon interactions when unbuffed/debuffed as a volunteer:
