As a shaman I just threw down a stoneclaw totem, got the right distance and burned um. Got a good 5 each throw.

this is easy if u have a pet, you send the pet in grab a couple of them, gather them together and keep your distance enough to toss the bottle then run off to leave battle and redo it, happy questing

Very easy for mages, just mount up, round as many as you can; then frsot nova them, blink and use the grog.

I normally don't post but these comments r ridiculous. Go to the area to the left of the stairs just out of aggro range and start throwing the grog in to the area. U don't have to target the trolls the aoe from the Grog will burn any troll that runs through the fire. I used maybe 8 bottle and done.

Got 30 in one toss as a Frost Mage.

Pop Ice Barrier, gather as many as you want, and iceblock, Frost Nova, Blink, and toss it..

also a good place to stand if you have a flying mount is on top of the statue. See attached pics for locations with or without flying mounts.

A good way to do this quest as any class is to first throw the bomb, mount up as it's in the air, then ride and collect mobs towards the fire. If you have a flying mount you can just fly up afterwards, and repeat the process after you've gotten out of combat.

I'm doing these as a 75 resto shaman, not too tough.

Just Earthshield myself, a riptide then mount and run in and grab a bunch and run out to where it''s safe.... drop a Stoneclaw totem then run way out of range while the trolls are busy and burn em with grog; best of all, if you miss some and they chase you, run till they reset and eventually on their way back they run past the fire (yes it counts!)

After watching a few other players do something similar, here's what I did:

Go up the steps (I went up the right side) and jump onto the short wall (it is tan in color) that runs the length of the steps (from top to bottom). Please note that you will have to run all the way to the top of the steps, turn around, run back down and jump to get on top of the wall.

Look for an opening between the large green blocks (that decorate the top of the wall) and step through it (there is plenty of standing room on the other side). Lob the grog down at those dirty nasty trolls and watch 'em burn.

About the bottle:

Instant cast: You can throw it while moving.
15 second cooldown, doesn't start until bottle leaves your hand (~0.5s)
15 charges (with 30 trolls, you should be aiming to hit at least two per throw!)
Burns for ~4 seconds when it hits the ground.

The range on the bottles is 30-100 yards. The further away the target area, the longer it takes:

30 yards: ~2 seconds
50 yards: ~3 seconds
75 yards: ~6 seconds
100 yards: ~7 seconds

Don't aim for groups of trolls, as they'll run out of the way by the time the bottle gets there.

This daily can take up to 6 minutes to complete, assuming you're only getting two trolls per throw, using all 15 charges, and you're aiming for medium-ranged trolls. It could take up to 10 minutes if you factor in travel time and waiting for trolls to respawn (doesn't take that long for them to come back).

To speed this daily up, you can:

Throw the bottle, then pull them to where the fire is.As suggested by Truffles.
Freeze them in place, then back away and throw. As suggested by StompahMage.
Have a friend round them up and take a beating from them, then throw the bottle at ~~your friend~~ the pile of trolls. (The trolls hit for ~120 before reduction.) As demonstrated by a DK in my guild.

Wowhead is wrong. You cannot get this quest at 70, nor 72. It apparently requires the pre-quest be done, which requires level 73.

Here's a little tip for Frost Death Knights for getting this quest done quickly and easily:

1- Fight one mob to build up as much runic power as possible.
2- Shift into Frost Presence, then mount up and aggro a lot of mobs, but be careful not to get dazed. You can be safe and pull about a dozen at a time, or you can be risky and try and get them all in one pull.
3- Round up all that you've aggro'd and then use Hungering Cold. Make sure to NOT use Death and Decay.
4- Back up and use the item.
5- Run away and then repeat as necessary.

As a hunter, get on top of one of the pillars next to the stairs, use Eyes of the Beast, round up the mobs, ?, profit.

The toon I am on is 73 and can't pick this up, so I assume there is(are) a pre-quest(s) to do. About to do the only quest I was able to pick up here (Filling the Cages), so I'll post when I'm done and see if that's the requirement.

Edit: No-go, the next one I could pick up is Truce? and I'm doubting that quest line leads to this. Will find out though!

Edit 2: Finished Vial of Visions, nothing yet.

There's a weird thing that happens when you use the grog as a shaman with water shield up, every time you get credit for one of the mobs, a water shield bursts and it counts as you taking damage.

If you are a lock or a hunter you can send in your pet to gather up a bunch and hit em all at once just make sure you dont pull aggro via healing your pet. As a lock myself I sent my voidwalker in to the furthest mob so as to gather up about 10 at once.

This is super easy if you're a hunter. Get a tank pet (like a rhino or bear). Stand at the tree line and use mend pet, just the get the heal over time started. Put your pet on Passive and Stay, then use Eyes of the Beast. Run your pet around and agro a mass of guys, then cancel Eyes of the Beast. Throw a bomb and then just run, leaving your pet to die (it will happen, so don't feel bad about it.) It's not worth the time to kill the elites that aren't effected by the bombs since they give no xp or loot. I get about 20 guys each time doing this, meaning I only need to use 2 bombs and I'm done.

Ok, I don't know if anyone has stated this yet, but I think this might possibly be the easiest way to do this thing. I suggest you go to the side of DTK on the little wall with a pool of water inside of it. Once there get close to the edge and aggro one of the mobs. This causes usually 10 or so to start running after you, and the cool thing is, all you have to do is throw it where they are coming up from trying to get you and it's a nice little narrow area where the all come from. It should be on your right at where they are coming from on the first column next to the stairs(that is touching the stairs). I only tried this on the east side wall/pool area so I do not know if it works on the other side. Also if you aggro anything you cant handle or just dont want to fight, go into the water and then you can even throw some more of the grog if you go fast enough. I hope this helps someone else. Should work with all classes.

As a DRUID this is really really simple, but would sure work for other classes aswell (Mage, using blink etc..)

Make sure that you have full hp, use your Survival Instincts and use Regrowth+Rejuvenation and then run into the crowd of trolls, throw the fire so close that you can and then run into the fire with all the trolls and poff you've burned many trolls.

I do this one when I have had a bad day. Since it is illegal to toss flaming grog in Real Life, this quest fulfills my need.

I go to 19.7,28.2 and stand on top a pillar/statue thing. Toss and laugh. If you watch for a bit, you can see the patterns of where they run. I toss most of mine near an elite thing up in a corner from where I stand. A lot of them go running around him. I get 3-5 each toss. Sometimes they will all freeze in that "Evade" stance and you'll be in combat mode. When that happens, I look for the largest group and toss the next one at them. However, they're not going to stand there for very long, usually just about the time the cooldown is done.

Yeah, only 5g and no rep but by far one of the easiest quests I have done.
