For those people that started fishing, you should know that you need to capture the schools with an item provided by the quest giver http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37542 and NOT by fishing. Good Luck.

The "Find Fish" Tracker does NOT locate the schools for you, you have to find them yourself.

Get your mount on and ride to Easternwind Shore. From south to north you can find plenty schools of Northern Salmon. You will recognise them on the water because they do a lot of small bubles compared to other schools.

You need to swim up the schools and click the net.

If you're doing this at 80 and are using a flying mount to zip around, cast waterwalking on yourself, and you can cast the net from the surface, and then just remount.

If you are a DK, I suggest taking advantage of your "path of frost" buff. If you are a shaman, I encourage getting mats for the water walking buff. This makes moving around much easier compared to swimming
The schools of fish you need are indicated by bubbles. Plus, they are sparkly and what-not like most other quest collection sprites. Unfortunately for those of you who can't walk (or gallop/flop around) on water, the process might be painstakingly slow if you don't have a shaman or a DK in a group with you.

Questhelper as of version 1.1.10 tells you to slay Longhoof Grazers to obtain the fish. This is obviously false, but I killed about 5 of them before I went back and read the quest. Thought I'd help out the others that don't read quests either.

If you're doing this quest at 80, grab a potion of water walking, and you'll be able to mount on the water and fly to the next group.

1. Put the Quest Item in a box on your Toolbar
2. Swim out to the 'Bubbles' that appear in the water that denote 'Northern Salmon"
3. Click the link on your Toolbar
4. You should have your Northern Salmon, and each pool only reaps one of the 5 Needed for the quest item. You need to hit up 5 separate little groups of these fish

If you're a priest (or have one with you,) Levitate works really good for this quest. Just remember to recast it every 2 minutes.

Because we can now mount onto our flying mount while in the water, this quest is now faster and more simple to accomplish.

I finished this quest as a Shaman by Waterwalking around to each school of fish, so I imagine a DK could use their Frost path, waterwalking trick in the same way..

This information is true as of patch 5.4.2 (May 16 2014 at time of writing). You can use the warlock's Glyph of Nightmares to speed things up instead of swimming around. I haven't tried the death knight's Path of Frost while doing this quest specifically but I'd imagine it's the same deal.

Note: The schools do NOT look like the standard round swirly schools that you're used to Fishing from. They're more like tiny little fish leaping from the water and leaving little splashes. (And sparkles, like any other quest item, if you have that setting turned on.)

Description

Thank goodness you're back, Limpy! I worried that Griselda and I were going to be all alone.

I'm cooking up some food here for us, but Griselda'll have none of it.

She's fond of the fish that live off the coast of the Eastwind Shore, to the east. Can't stand them myself, but she's always been a picky eater. Six good-sized fish ought to keep her happy for a while.

Now, run... err... limp along, Joe. Wouldn't want to keep the girl waiting, would ya?
