Bugged? The only NPCs of interest inside Masters Glaive, Thalya the Voidcaller and Doomspeaker Trevellion, are arranged as if they are having a conversation... but nothing ever happens between them, so there is nothing to spy upon...

OK, my folly. In this quest, you need to listen to Foreman Balsoth at the lowest level in the middle of the tented area.

In the follow-up quest, you will to go up the ramp and listen to Thalya and Trevellion.

Foreman Balsoth is right around 40, 84 for those with coordinates. Make sure to watch out for the Faceless Ones patting around. They detect stealth.

Hunters and Warlocks, I highly advise you dismiss you pet while doing this as you pet doesn't prowl with you. (Unless it has prowl)

Faceless ones can see stealth.

Dismiss your pet before doing this quest. The NPCs will attack it.

Rogues and druids - Dont use stealth/prowl to do this quest. The npc's will not talk if you do. Use the item that turns you into a cat in prowl to produce the npc speech.

Feral Swiftness in Cat form also increases prowl speed, plus you get two buffs with the same icon.

So I am confused I went up the ramp to the platform where Thalya and Trevellion and listened to them twice and I didn't hear any conversation. I need to listen to Foreman Balsoth at the lowest level in the middle of the tented area. That is the last time I will get my information from a different site. Thanks

Don't jump down from the platform where Thalya is (like I did, stupidly). You'll take damage, which will break your stealth, and cultists will be on you in an instant.

The entrance to get to the bottom without jumping is at . There's also a path that starts at .

I couldn't get it to complete. I waited and waited. So I decided to waste all the guys in the circle. I stealthed again. Then I backed off a little, waited for them to respawn, and then walked over. When I did, the guys started talking and it completed my quest.

I may or may not have cheated... if that's what it's going to be called.
i killed all the faceless ones unstealthed, and then restealthed and listened to them because the other npcs can't see me.

Note: the Worgen racial Darkflight (movement speed increase) does not break stealth provided by the panther figurine.

This really helped, and I had walked around the place several times while stealthed and nothing happened. So patience is the key, as well as standing quite close to the foreman below first, to start the conversation, listen to it and then a new quest will pop up for you to go and listen in on the group at the top. Again, stand close to trigger the conversation.

I am going to say, this is one of blizzards better quest chains. You go find the npc to start the quest, complete that, get the next, complete that, get the next and so on. You don't have to pick up every quest from every elf, gnome and tree frog in the zone to move ahead.

The "talk to this guy and come back" parts are a bit tedious, since I am still running around on foot, but I've seen worse (like winterspring to talk to the person in gadgetran- OMG *10 minute flight*). *and yes, then back to winterspring (gag)*

This is a fairly short (an hour or 2 maybe) chain to get your reward (bracers for me), unlike that quest chain for the silver thread boots where you have to do every quest in lor danel, head south, get friendly with a bear *or deer or cat* (to friendly I am thinking) then back and THEN you head in the right direction at least to be in the proper area. THEN you again have to do all the quests from the givers in THAT area, until finally, on the last one, the quest item required drops and you can go kill what you need to kill for the boots.

I think blizzard should take into account, not everybody wants to know all the lore, some of us just want the item, we've HEARD the lore a dozen times already, and make more linear chains to get items, yet keeping the side quests for leveling and those who enjoy the lore (like the first time doing it, or 3 or 6 if you are a glutton for punishment)

*lol* Anyone that wants to read the lore more than 3 times though, should really consider just buying a book at an irl book store. Yes, they still make those!

There is Nothing but Darnassus Sentinels and Ashenvale Huntresses here. Even After Abandonning the Quest and dismissing my pet, there is NOTHING here..NO 'foreman' where the purple ring shows he should be on the mini map and there is NO 'entrance' either,k only the same small R@gGeD 'tents'

If it's July/August 2018 and you're doing the War of the Thorns quest chain as part of the BFA leadup, you cannot complete this quest. It's an old quest. The area is now phased, and the old quest is impossible to complete.

Likewise you may have similar problems with Consumed and What's Happening to the Blackwood Furbolg?, which can both be safely ignored.

Temporarily turning off "trivial quest" detection (via the magnifying glass icon on the mini-map) will prevent you from seeing these quests.

Description

To the southwest lies the corpse of a being somehow related to the Old Gods that the Twilight's Hammer cultists worship.

He was defeated before our time -- if not by the Titans themselves, certainly by one of their creations.

We've noted an increase in cult activity in that area which can only mean something terrible is amiss.

We're going to need to find out what they're planning to do there and why. Take this figurine, it'll help you avoid being detected while you gather intelligence.
