Return to Stardust appears to be a prerequisite for this quest.
Of course, Professor Xakxak says that he has finally had time to construct the Gnomecorder, in reality this is an indirect way of requiring you to complete Huntress Jalin's quests to free Boog the "Gear Whisperer" who you will need to talk to later in the quest chain. Not to mention setting up the whole bombing of Stonetalon that seems to be the undercurrent for all of the quests in that zone.

I'm having difficulty with this. I'm a lvl 61 hunter, and I keep dying from the no level krom'gar enforcer in Cataclysm. As soon as I get in the area, I'm dead. I've seen it while hovering on my griffen. How can I kill this thing? I've not been able to get close enough to do so without dying.

This seems to be bugged, I couldn't complete this quest despite my friend whom I'm questing with completing it also, it refused to come up with "Gnomerecorder Tested" for me. Then when I abandoned the quest, I cannot see the exclaimation mark to pick it up again, although according to my buff bar I still have the Gnomerecorder Spell on me. Please help this is particularly frustrating.
