Yes, Shado-pan questline have such weird prequests :D
Awakened quests have 3 version of quests each starting from NPC that gave you previous quests.
Ordo Warbringer have quest that starts via pop-up after Channelers and backup from Taylor/Nazgrim if you abandon first.

Yes Blizzard, let's glamorize the looting of archaeological sites.

Now that I think about it, there are a great many such quests in the game...I guess Bao Jian's manner just struck me as particularly unscrupulous. He'd fit in well with the goblins :-)

A good quest, minimal effort (as in with some luck you will not even have to face a single mob), and the opportunity for a higher reward if you remember to pick up the Treasure of Pandaria achievement item, Terracota Head, worth 100 gold.

His last words were "Now that you've softened them up, I'm thinking that I might head in. Just a few more relics from around the outskirts. Nothing dangerous."

After that he was never seen again.

Some say that was the end of his collecting adventure and others say it was just the beginning.

What a scam, he gives you 10 gold for 12 pieces of these, yet, the treasure, a smaller piece of the same statues, sells for 100gold
