"In the Shadow of the Light" is in The Reliquary (First room)

"Kel'Thuzad's Deep Knowledge" on a bookshelf to the left (or to the right) in the Hall of Illusions (Second room)

"Forbidden Rites and other Rituals Necromantic" is in the Butcher's Sanctum to the right before the Flesh Horrors (or after and to the left) (Third room)

"The Dark Grimoire" is on Professor Slate's table in the Viewing Room (Fourth room)

Edit: Upon running this dungeon on live, it appears the spawn points may vary. These are the spawn points it gave me. If you're having trouble finding the Dark Grimoire, I've had it spawn in the back right of the room on a table. The sparkles are barely visible, so you really have to look for it.

it seems that dark Grimoire has a bug at it does not appear as it should for those whole have this quest. dark Grimoire did not appear for me either after 2 runs. Might have to drop quest, pick it up again or just forget it and move on. Not worth breaking your head over it.

Dark Grimoire can be found not only around Slate's desk. I've stumbled upon it on one of students' table. As for me, 'twas 2nd row from Slate upwards.

In my quest log, the first tome simply shows as "0/1 - " and no name

EDIT: Switched to Heroic and took the quest, and the first 3 showed as 0/1 and no names. What finally worked was switching to Heroic, taking the quest, not abandoning it.... keep it, then switch to normal dungeon mode. The quest should show up again from the talking skull, accept it and it worked. Then just dropped the heroic version with the three 0/1's.

Description

There are four tomes of great necromantic evil studied in Scholomance: "In the Shadow of the Light", "Kel'Thuzad's Deep Knowledge", "Forbidden Rites and other Rituals Necromantic" and "The Dark Grimoire".

As we make our way through this cursed place, find and destroy each book so that no other fool can come along later and learn their vile secrets.
