It seems as if the skulls do not respawn properly at this point. I searched the area for some time looking for the last one, and none of the previous skulls came back. I still have not located the last one.

This quest is a PITA. You can easily be overrun by multiple mobs that stealth and popup out of nowhere. There are other mobs constantly pathing around. You will have to go into all the caves to get enough skulls. As noted, they do not respawn. Do not kill Boneseer Cold-Eye until the very end when you have all your skulls. You'll have to kill him to get to the cauldron to complete the quest. The quest doesn't seem to link, might be a good one to skip.

As of 7/10/2015 there are more than enough skulls in the area. I found plenty with many left over. They don't respawn but there is definitely enough.

Not enjoyable for me. But you should try it, if you like working in the fog.

I quit after the 3rd skull.

The quest items can, for some reason, be looted from Tanaan Jungle.
In betwen vault of the earth and Sha'naari refuge (one of the good areas for getting jungle teeth) is where I found them.

Not sure about any other areas.
But that was a neat discovery.

Don't recommend doing it unless you're at 100 with a high ilvl, but at that point it's pointless anyway. Not many skulls and a whole bunch of pretty tough (if you're level 99) mobs, some in stealth patrolling around. You finish fighting a group at low health, and suddenly another one appears out of nowhere even though you've been standing at the same spot, and quickly bursts you down. Not fun at all.

Description

Many years ago my family and I were slain in this very spot.

The saberon you see around you are descended from the tribe that murdered my village. Long have I waited, here in this forgotten place, to see justice brought to the saberon for their crimes.

The Snarlpaw chief is a boneseer, a saberon who divines the future using the remains of the dead.

Collect the ancient skulls of the Snarlpaw ancestors and place them in the boneseer's cauldron.

Let their own bones fill their cauldron for once!
