This world quest is unlocked through a small treasure hunt quest chain. When you finish the quest line a new "gambling cave" will be available.
Treasure Master Iks'reeged sells these items:
Wyrmtongue's Cache Key = 2000 Nethershard
Chipped Demonic Key Stone = 7500 Nethershard
Lingering Wyrmtongue Essence = 50000 Nethershard

Personally after using 10 keys or so, I got these items:
Scraps and Pilfered Sweeper.
The chests reward somewhere between 1 and 7500 Nethershard (or something like that).
They also have a chance at giving Artifact power items.
They can also give trash and Order Resources.

Apparently there is supposed to be the "big win" with Nethershard where you can get 50k, but I don't know if this is true.

If you are like me and just finished The Motherlode quest and see Treasure Master Iks'reeged appear and don't understand why you can't turn it in:

1. Go back to the entrance of the cave and click on the rope to get out
2. Then click back on it to get back in
3. You'll see you can turn it in

Hope this helps to anyone like me.

Opened a ton of chests, lost count at 30. I got the pet, Scraps, but not the toy which I wanted. Ended up about 15k Nethershards down but got quite a few gold and about 1.5 million AP. Did find a chest containing 6600 Nethershards but I've no idea how high they can go. Also found some with no shards and one with only 1.

Looted over 7K from one chest. In the beginning, it seemmed to generate profit even in nethershards for me, but stopped after about 20 opens.

This world quest is only available after completing the quest The Motherlode.

You need to go in 47,67 and click on the rope. After that, speak to Treasure Master Iks'reeged to buy a key (100 nethershards). With this key, you can open the chest of your choice in the room.

In the chest, you can earn :
-Nethershard : between 100 and ?
-Order Resources
-Artifact Power
-The pet Scraps
-The toy Pilfered Sweeper

After the World Quest, you can still talk to Treasure Master Iks'reeged to buy :
-Wyrmtongue's Cache Key : 2 000 Nethershard
-Chipped Demonic Key Stone : 7 500 Nethershard
-Lingering Wyrmtongue Essence : 50 000 Nethershard

With the world quest, you win 75 points to Armies of Legionfall

Entrance is here (click the rope under some bushes/trees): /way 47.82, 67.37

To go back - click the rope which is positioned hanging behind you when you are ported in.

I opened every chest in the cave once. It appears it's complete random as to which chest has what. I did find a chest with 10,000 Nethershard in it though.

Flying in to do this quest, I almost always aggro at least 1 Felwing Devourer. The entrance doesn't seem to work if you are in combat either.

You can also get 1 Nethershard. Just do the WQ for it because it only costs 100 Nethershards instead of 2000.

I found from personal experience that the number of nethershards is directly related to the last time the chest you click on was last opened. Hence the reason that sometimes the crappiest "looking" ones hold the most loot, (because other people don't pick them) this of course makes it impossible to find any rhyme or reason other then dumb luck to do it. Though i suspect that picking non peak times might net higher results. Worth looking into.

Glad some people are getting such awesome Nethershard rewards from this. For me it's mostly just crap (doing it every time it comes up). Would be way in the hole if I were paying 2k normal price per key instead of just 100 with this quest. OTOH, did get toy and pet pretty early on, so can't complain too much.

It seems like one chest (emplacement described below) gave me 1000 Nethershard 4 times over 4 ! Have you guys noticed anything like this with another chest ?
PS: He is the tiniest chest on the right side, just in front of the whale bones

Has anyone else had or having any issues getting the key from Iks'reeged? It's my third time trying for the WQ and still can't get the key from him. Works on all my other toon except my Spriest. I've put a ticket in and they don't see any issues on their side. Turned addons off and cleared my cache. Still nothing. Need them to buy the follower gear upgrade before anyone says they're useless now.

I went there today and the chests appeared to be gone, but he was happy to take your nethershards.

I ended up finding one lonely chest in the far back corner.

I have a bunch of shards, but never see the quest pop up for me,,but my guys with less than 2000 shards will get the quest all the time !

For those looking for the rope, if your standing on sand pit (on beach) facing North where WQ marker is, the rope is at the foot of the dead trees just NW of you (ahead & to the left about 15 yards). It's small.

You first need to do The Motherlode for this to appear. That quest will sometimes only appear after daily reset. If you're just trying to do Treasure Master Iks'reeged and The Motherlode quest for Breaching the Tomb achievement, than don't bother. You can complete Breaching the Tomb without doing this quest. I found out because I had to wait till the daily reset for the quest to appear but in the meanwhile I went to do the rest of Breaching the Tomb and I got the achievement just fine without starting or completing The Motherlode quest. I don't know if you can skip the whole Excavations storyline or just this quest though.
