1. Don't forget the class hall is 2 mins flight from Strath, using the portal from new to old dalaran takes much longer than walking up some stairs. :p
2. you can mount inside the Straholme scenario, Praise the Light!

After gathering the waters and going to the crypt it bugged and nothing happened. Leaving instance and dropping quest seemed to work.

For the fastest route, head up the stairs from your Order Hall then fly to the Servant's Entrance of Stratholme, (not the main entrance). Quest helper should show it marked correctly. Make sure you speak to Lord Grayson outside the entrance to start the scenario, otherwise you'll enter the vanilla dungeon rather than the scenario.

Oh gosh, I remember that you needed to get Stratholme holy water for the original pally epic mount quest back in classic, too; back then it was a higher-end dungeon, and you had to get water from crates that were lying around ^^

Minor mistake, the Stratholme zone used for the scenario is nested under Azeroth -> Eastern Kingdoms -> Western Plaguelands instead of Eastern Plaguelands where Stratholme actually is.

Kralgon, one of the paladins you can take with you, is a hilariously bad tank. Couldn't hold agg at all.

For the final fight, forget trying to kill adds, go straight for the boss.

After meeting up with Defender Sterius outside the Service Gate, I tell him 'I'm Ready to Go' and the instance fails to load. Tried dropping the quest and re-acquiring it. Same problem. Anyone else have this issue?

Quest line for the class mount Highlord's Golden Charger starts at Champion Cyssa Dawnrose on Broken Shore after completing Breaching the Tomb with a Paladin.

Worthy of the Title - travel to your order hall
Preparations Underway - buy or craft a Stonehide Leather Barding (by a leatherworker, costs 25 Stonehide Leather)
The Hammer of Dalaran - go to Alard Schmied in Dalaran
A Few Things First - bring him 25 Leystone Ore and 1 Suramarian Sapphire (vendors for the sapphire are Sundries Merchant in Suramar, one is here: /way Suramar 49.29 74.75 Entrance, costs 500 Ancient Mana. Use your Masquerade buff or he won't interact with you)
Leather to Legendary - watch the dialogue, pick up the Plated Barding from the anvil and return to your order hall
Stirring in the Shadows - use your order hall's exit to Eastern Plaguelands and travel to Stratholme. Talk to Defender Sterius to start the scenario and follow its story line.
You can ride inside. Defeat mini bosses (kill the trash mobs in front of the towers to let them spawn) and free the paladins after that.

Return to the entrance, talk to Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker and click the Blessed Mount Barding
Run to the end of the instance, enter the chamber and leave it again to start the fight against Raemien the Soultaker (focus on him). Let Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker bring you back to your order hall.

Highlord's Golden Charger will be added to your mount collection automatically after turning in the quest.

Other color schemes are obtainable by full skilled artifact weapons (Power Ascended for each):

Protection: Stoic Reins of the Vigilant Charger (blue/lilac)
Retribution: Harsh Reins of the Vengeful Charger (red/silver)
Holy: Heraldic Reins of the Valorous Charger (lilac/golden)

They are purchasable from Crusader Lord Dalfors for 1000 Order Resources.

When you are ready to go look for Baron's remains, don't leave too soon. You have to make sure Lord Grayson is following you. My first try I made the mistake of leaving without him and it bugged. When I went into the tomb the door closed behind me and I was inside with only the 2 paladins tagging along. I had to leave and start over again.

Don't know if it's mentioned anywhere, but when you need to select two paladins to accompany you, I couldn't see which were which spec.

So, to distinguish, when you click on them, your question to them is "I need your xxxxx";

if xxxxx is "shield" they're a tank
if xxxxx is "steel" they're dps
if xxxxx is "support" they're a healer.

One thing that wasn't obvious to me. When you get to the area where one of the knights is being held, you need to kill all the mobs nearby. If you don't the mini-bosses won't spawn. Even if you can get up to the door.

This might be my favorite of the class mount questlines I've done yet.
If you're having trouble completing the scenario, go as tank and pick up heals and dps npcs. I only tank for questing (aka no real tanking knowledge) and was never below 90% health.

After rescuing the first Paladin, my two NPC group members disappeared. It said in the log "(NPC name) has left the instance". I have the two buffs for them but I can't get them to appear again. Tried reloading, nothing. Not a big deal when you're geared but seems like a bug nonetheless.

Update 1: If you go back to where you entered the instance they NPCs you pick will appear by your side again.

Great scenario, nice to feel like a powerful character, something that was missing in Garrisons. The inclusion of NPC's in group added to this and made for a wonderful if brief feeling of empowerment in the game. Would love to see this sort of thing expanded on in the future, especially if Garrisons / Class halls are a continuing aspect of the game. How about player centric scenarios to achieve cosmetic items which can be applied to weapons and armour, or player housing. Scenarios with NPC's or alt characters joining you as you fight to unlock areas to place you housing, types of buildings, furniture or other decorations?

Everytime I click on Defender Sterius it errors out. Can anyone help me? Ive tried several times but it will not zone me into the scenerio.

To open the door, kill the random wandering mobs in front, and it will spawn the boss in front of the crypts...

at the end, after binding the mighty steed, the scenario tells you to "talk to grayson if you want to leave". I could not talk to him in any way, so I just left the scenario. luckily, it was complete and all I had to do was return to my class hall.

Odd enough, all NPC paladins seem to be riding Thallasian chargers, even alliance members.

This quest felt epic to me, just as it should for Paladins. Even more so as it took me 3 years to get Rivendare's Death Charger Rivendare's Deathcharger from Stratholme (East entrance). I felt excited to do this scenario and felt Blizzard picked the *perfect* location for this scenario right along with the holy water collections.

But I had to really LOL, literally laugh out loud, when I was fighting the first boss (in Prot spec) before the gauntlet to free the first Silver Hand Crusader inside, and because I am (currently) iLvl 899, I didn't move out of the bosses AOE damage he was dealing and my poor Healer died, which resulted literally in him responding in my chat window "Ugh...!" Before I could rez him, he had already released and was at full health back at my side.

If you run way ahead of him and get downstairs before the door actually spawns on the crypt, just stay there and wait til he yells outside and then the door will be open. You don't need to restart anything.

When i wanted to use any combo or spell in this scenario my game crashed xD So i had to auto attacked them one by one..

Stirring in the Shadows

Meetup with Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker in Stratholme. Once inside, locate the remains of Lord Rivendare and his mount and perform the ritual to claim it as your own.

Description

We must now purify the barding by both material and immaterial means. For the material, we need to travel to Stratholme.

When it thrived, before the plague, it produced holy water capable of cleansing even the darkest of magics. There still may be caches of it lying untouched there that we can use.

Then it's just a matter of imbuing enough holy power into the barding to make sure it overcomes the will of Rivendare's mount, Shadowmane.

Travel to the service gate of Stratholme when you're ready.
