On heroic mode the Knockback also reduces the threat of the current tank.

Taunting just after the Knockback works fine, the Tanks get about 3-4 stacks.

Don't miss the fact that this also interrupts casting! Casters and healers should be out of range of this spell normally - stay in the back half of the platform and you should be fine. If you have a hunter in the group, watch where their pet is and stay further back than the pet does.

If you need to be in closer for some reason (paladin healers taking advantage of seals), I suggest using DBM to watch for when the timer is coming up, and back off before Ragnaros uses this.
