My friend (a human rogue) was looking for gear to make himself a 'pimp suit' and this is the only "staff" type item that looked right for him and his new Stylin' Purple Hat.

If you need a staff for looks, but can't use one, this works nicely :-)

There's also a variant of this same staff with a green gem in the head - if your pimp suit looks better with green, then look for an Elder's Amber Stave.

i got the "of healing" version of this which has lasted me till 65 and i dont think i can even replace it till Saga of terrokk

Got this off Ironfur Patriarch (48-49) at Feralas, was suprised, and thrilled, since it was better then my old one!
